There are different areas for different flowers such as the rose garden or Chinese peony garden. There are sometimes exhibitions inside the greenhouse. There is also a lawn area, a pond, and a Japanese garden. Enjoy relaxing amongst the beautiful and cute flowers.

Harukimichi and Shiawasemichi

In 2026, there will be a tour bus that operates between Minamiashigara's popular cherry blossom spots, including Haruki Path and Happiness Road (Harukimichi and Shiawasemichi). The bus will operate on March 14 (Sat), 15 (Sun), 20 (Fri), 21 (Sat), and 22 (Sun), 2026.Harukimichi Happy Sakura Festival is a spring festival that takes place on the riverside walk along the Kari River in Minami Ashigara City. When spring comes, the 171 or so cherry trees on the riverbank bloom in unison. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the riverside walk admiring the wonderful view of cherry trees, field mustard flowers and the blue sky with the magnificent Mt. Fuji in the background. There are food stalls lined up along the riverside walk and visitors can enjoy shopping for local farm products and more. Many people also enjoy the bustling fleamarket.

Nihon Odori

Nihon Odori

Nihon Odori is the first western style street in Japan. It was completed in 1870 and designed by R.H. Blanton. The stately historic buildings such as Kanagawa Prefectural Government, the Yokohama Archives of History, Yokohama District Court, Mitsui & Co.,Ltd. Yokohama building and the old Kanto Local Finance Bureau etc. line the Nihon Odori. In autumn, open cafes along the road are a popular resting spot with a view of beautifully colored ginkgo.Known for its gorgeous ginko trees, the street is most beautiful in autumn when the leaves are golden and the air is crystal clear.

Lake Sagami is an artificial lake, like Lake Biwa, which is renowned for being a mecca for rowing and canoeing races. The deep forests surrounding the lake, as well as activities such as fireworks and Japanese pond smelt fishing mean that the area can be enjoyed in all four seasons. Lake Sagami Park offers a sweeping view of Lake Sagami and is a great place to enjoy having lunch on the lawn. You can feel the cool breeze blow through your hair whilst you relax and enjoy the view. On holidays it is bustling with families and couples.

Yamashita Park

Yamashita Park

Yamashita Park is a seaside park that was opened in 1930 as a reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake, using rubble and other materials to reclaim the sea. There are many tourist attractions, such as the Red Brick Warehouse, Osanbashi Bridge, Chinatown, and the harbor sightseeing boat terminal in the vicinity. Inside the park itself is a statue of a girl wearing red shoes, inspired by Ujo Noguchi's nursery rhyme "Akai Kutsu" (Red Shoes), as well as the monuments of "the statue of the guardian god of water", donated by the city of San Diego, USA, the "seagull sailor monument" and the "Indian water tower". The luxury cruise ship "Hikawa Maru," which was called the "Queen of the North Pacific," is moored in the park, and visitors can not only enjoy an overview of the ship but can also tour the interior for a fee during the daytime. The park is also a famous spot for roses, a place to enjoy 1,900 roses of 160 varieties twice a year, both in spring and autumn. It is also a popular spot for sightseeing and date nights, attracting tourists and families during the day and couples at night throughout the year. The sunrise from the sea is the perfect cue for strolling, jogging, exercising, yoga, tai chi, and other activities. Manazuru Port

Manazuru Port

This port is a base for the local industries in Manazuru, fishing boats, cargo ships carrying stone materials, and so on. Besides that, there is a fish market nearby where the catch of the day is sold. The Kaijo Togyo (shrine procession in the sea) of the Kibune Festival, an important intangible folk cultural property of Japan, is also held here at the Manazuru Port.There is a fish market nearby that sells the fresh catch of the day. Sales end as soon as the fish is sold out, so going early in the morning is recommended.
