Storehouse style buildings scattered in the Misaki Shitamachi Shotengai create an atmosphere of Showa period. The Shotengai offers various specialty foods, including Misaki Tuna. Annual events are: "Chakkirako (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage)" on January 15, and "Miura Yoichi" in August.

Built in the March of the 2nd of the Jouou Era (1653), Kainan Shrine was awarded Shouichii (the highest rank given to a shrine) by the Yoshida Family of the Yoshida Shintō religion. In the 4th of the Kyouhou Era (1719), the shrine became the Souchinju (the protecting shrine) of the Miura Peninsula. In the 6th year of the Meiji Era it was designated a Gosha (a village shrine) and in the 40th year it was designated a Shinsenheihakuryokyoshin-sha (a type of village shrine that was able to receive fees/offering for the gods).

A long standing dye shop established in 1833, where craftsmen of the Edo Bakufu worked. The Tairyo-bata of Misaki is one of the Top 100 Picks of Kanagawa’s Local Specialties. Each and every one of the flags are handmade with traditional techniques passed down from the Edo Period and is used not only to celebrate a new ship, but other happy events such as marriage, childbirth, children’s festivals, and one’s 60th birthday. This is a direct sales center for freshly harvested Miura vegetables and Misaki tuna. "Yasai-kan" on the second floor sells Miura vegetables, meat, tofu, and a variety of breads, and "Urari Taste" is open for fresh juice, coffee, and craft beer. This sightseeing boat allows visitors to enjoy an easy underwater walk. In the observation room, the bottom of the ship is made of glass, allowing you to see what is going on under the sea. You will be able to feel as if you are swimming with the fishes.
