It is about 19 hectares where they restore forests fallen into disrepair to familiar woodlands. They cooperate with volunteer organizations in thinning and other activities to keep trees and soil in proper condition and conserve forest management and habitat of organisms and plants. You can appreciate seasonal flowers here.

Shiki no Sato (Village of Four Seasons) is a facility surrounded by nature where you can have first-hand agricultural experiences. It is a place where urban residents and locals can mingle and use it as a base facility for experiencing work by hand, such as rice planting, rice harvesting, making pizza from scratch, etc. You can purchase freshly picked local fresh vegetables and special products at the Shiki no Sato shop on grounds of the facility.

It is said that the 400 black pines by the levee up to the estuary were planted by Ninomiya Sontoku, an agricultural leader of the Edo era, with money he received as rewards from his nursemaid.
