There are 5000 hydrangeas in this rice paddy area the size of 3.6 Tokyo Domes. One of the highlights is the Hydrangea Pond in the main venue, Hydrangea Park, where approximately 2,000 hydrangeas float on the water.

The Kaisei Awa Odori dance festival is held in mid-September and features spectacular dances performed by local residents' associations and companies, as well as by local dancers from out of town. The streets around the Kaisei Town Hall, the venue of the festival, are filled with 1,200 enthusiastic dancers.

Bordering Matsuda and Kaisei, the Sakawa River will light up with about 1,600 fireworks in this brilliant display.
