Located in an over 300-year old brewery and nestled in the sake-making region of Saku, KURABITO STAY is an immersive lodging experience where guests take on the roles of sake brewers. The refurbished accommodation is the former living quarters of past brewers and features a simple, yet modern wooden interior that is reminiscent of the woodwork in the sake brewing facilities where guests can experience the simulated life of a brewer.

Aside from its brewing facilities, KURABITO STAY also features a number of amenities to ensure that your stay is comfortable. In the accommodation’s lounge, which was the former brewers’ break room, enjoy meals, listen to sake lectures, and relax around a wooden table fashioned from a sake tank lid. The lounge is also home to a self-serving sake station where you can enjoy sampling sake from all over Saku (an all-you-can-drink service is available during your stay). Washrooms are located on the first and second floor, and showers are on the first floor. On the second floor, the previous brewers’ communal bedroom was refurbished into individual, lockable rooms (eight in total) for guests. These simple one- and two-person bedrooms have tatami floors with futons for sleeping. Facility amenities include towels, hair dryers, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, and more.
