From Iiyama Kannon Chokokuji Temple it is about a 25 minute climb to reach the Hakusan Observatory. It is located at the top of Hakusan Mountain on the Hakusan Hiking Course and Hakusan Jyunrei Toge Hiking Course routes. The panoramic view from the 284-meter-high observatory includes Yokohama Minato Mirai on the right, Shinjuku buildings and Tokyo Sky Tree in front, and Mount Tsukuba on the left. It is a park that both children and adults can enjoy and learn about nature. You can see organisms of the four seasons and also experience agricultural activities such as rice planting and harvesting. At the park there is a "Forest Slide" that is 106 meters long, the longest in Japan.

This festival is a reconstruction of the "male dragon and female dragon" rain-making event held in the Soogaya area of Kiyokawa Village during the Edo period. The highlight of the festival is the "Ascending Dragon Ritual," in which two 13-meter-long dragons made of straw and kaya are carried around by local people and ignited at night, to ascend to the heavens.

Approximately 10,000 pieces of artwork including folkcrafts from across the country, Japanese local toys, western paintings, Japanese paintings, sculptures, cutout pictures, books, ink paintings, and ceramics are displayed behind the front desk on the first floor. The owner of the hotel collected these materials in 1951 and Atsugi Museum Hotel is the only local place in the central area of Kanagawa to have this kind of collection.

The Iiyama White Dragon Taiko and White Dragon Dance originated from ancient rainmaking rituals where people play their taiko and dance with white dragons to pray for rain to fall upon the plain of Sagami. Now it is also an event for the Iiyama Sakura Festival.
