From the southern slope of this expansive herb garden you can look out over Sagami Bay and Ashikaga Plain. Take in panoramic views and see seasonal herbs close up while strolling along the park's paths. There is also the restaurant, shops and activity center to check out.

From Nishihirabatake Park you can see an astounding view of Mount Fuji, which is even recognized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as being one of the best as it made it onto their Fujimi-byakkei List.Visit Matsudayama Herb Garden, located in Nishihirabatake Park, for a spectacular view of nature as the garden’s seasonal herbs bloom alongside the cherry blossoms.The evening illumination allows you to enjoy both the night view and the cherry blossoms. The illumination seen from the bottom of the mountain is also fantastic, with the area around the park being painted in pink. Kawazu cherry blossoms bloom in February. On the southern side of Matsuda-yama, there are many farmhouses where you can pick mandarin oranges. You can eat mandarin oranges while overlooking Mount Fuji. You can become an owner of a mandarin orange tree.

It is a sake brewery located in Matsuda-cho, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1825 which focuses on Japanese sake under the brand name "Matsumidori". Using water from the Tanzawa mountain range, the sake is soft on the palate and has a gentle taste. Bordering Matsuda and Kaisei, the Sakawa River will light up with about 1,600 fireworks in this brilliant display. Look up at the night sky in the Ashigara area and enjoy the beautiful sparkling landscape.A fireworks display is held every year in late August.
