Hasedera Temple is a famous historical temple that enshrines the statue of Hase Kannon as its principal deity. The main temple building houses the Kannon Museum, a garden, and offers visitors a chance to become familiar with the scenic beauty of Kamakura. The solemn "Kannon-do" and the temple grounds surrounded by beautiful trees and ponds, and lanterns distributed to visitors, encase the area in a beautiful lights that offers a sense of connection. Yadoya Mitsunori, a close aide and temple magistrate to Hojo Tokiyori, became a follower of Nichiren Shonin's disciple, Nichiro Shonin, and donated his own residence to build "Mitsunoriji Temple". The temple grounds are constantly filled with flowers from season to season, especially the 200-year-old kaidou tree that blooms in early April and the 300 varieties of mountain hydrangea that bloom from mid-May.

Built around 30 years ago, this residence is situated almost halfway between the Great Buddha of Kamakura and Hase Kannon. An expansive lawn garden enclosed by dignified fences and gates occupies an area of around 1,300 square meters.
