The store is located just before the entrance to the grounds of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The company was founded here, and the store is filled with affection for Kamakura Beniya. It has the widest selection of products out of all Kamakura Beniya stores, including both standard items and limited edition items unique to the Hachimangu-mae main store.

The stone bridge in front of the San-no-torii gate is called Taiko-bashi. Built in 1182, this bridge spans the center of Genpei-ike Pond, which divides into east and west.

It is a shop with a garden, which is rare among rental kimono shops along Komachi Dori in Kamakura. The store interior has an area of 182 square meters, and visitors can take photographs with their own cameras, and head to the tourist spots right away. Visitors can choose from 1000 kimonos of all types, as if choosing clothes. Same day service can also be provided, but advanced reservation is recommended.

The path leading to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, called “dankazura,” extends approximately 500 meters from the second torii gate to the shrine itself. In 1182, Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of Japan, built the traditional street to the shrine as he prayed for the safe delivery of his wife, Masako. Cherry blossoms and azaleas are planted to the left and right, and the scenery is breathtaking during the flower season.

Located 5 minutes on foot from Kamakura Station, KOTOWA Kamakura Tsurugaoka Kaikan is situated along Wakamiyaoji Street and Dankazura pathway. In spring, cherry blossoms abound in front of the hall. It is an excellent venue for compiling a travel itinerary and strolling around tourist spots such as Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachi-dori.
