Hōshakuji Station opened in 1899.The station building was rebuilt in 2008 by Kengo Kuma's design. On the ceiling， wood is arranged in a geometric pattern. In 2008， that station building won an award in architecture department of Brunel Award that International Railway Design Competition. Space of Chokkura was designd by Mr. Kuma with the image that light and wind blow through. There are bildings made of oya tuff stone. In the space， markets and live performances are held on holidays.

Aplil 2020， Roadside station Takanezawa Genki Appu Villege open.Roadside station is the rest house located in the open roads equipped with parking lots， rest rooms， restaurants and souvenir shops selling local products. Roadside station Takanezawa has hot springs and glamping facility. You can enjoy camping with luxurious accommodations and comfortable amenities.

In the spring， canola flowers bloom in the park spreads over the riverbed of Kinu River.（Best season:from late April to early May) In the Hōshakuji area， Cosmos festival  held in autumn. There are maintenances the boat pond and the water athletic， tennis courts， baseball fields.

Once a lively Oshu Kaido post town, Shirasawa-juku still invites visitors to walk its streets and discover traces of travelers from centuries past.

Sitting at an elevation of 1560 meters, Sakurazutsumi Park features Someiyoshino no Seiki cherry trees which blossom in spring. It’s a scenic viewpoint that even overlooks distant Nikko and the Nasu volcanic belt.
