Its current two-story wooden structure reflects the craftsmanship of its era, built during the early Showa period (1926-1989), featuring a gabled roof and a striking karahafu (Chinese gable). This architectural gem earned its designation as a National Tangible Cultural Property in 2003, ensuring its preservation for future generations.

The building interiors also give the impression of stepping into a different time. The ryokan retains its traditional atmosphere, offering a tranquil escape from modern life. Additionally, there are highway bus services to Katsuura Station from Tokyo Station.
