Ginza Sony Park
A creative playground where technology and design meet in the heart of Tokyo
Discover a unique open-concept park in Ginza that blends art, music, dining, and innovation.

An experimental, multi-level public venue dedicated to creativity and interaction.
Located at the iconic Sukiyabashi intersection in the posh district of Tokyo, Ginza Sony Park redefines the idea of an urban park. This reinvented space opened in 2018 as a project to reconstruct the Sony Building, which had an over 50-year history as part of the city of Ginza. Rather than a traditional park, Ginza Sony Park embraces the idea of an “ever-changing park”, offering an evolving mix of experiences – from art exhibitions and events, to limited-time pop-up shops and collaborations with creators and companies from around the world.

The design of the park itself is one of its most striking features. The complex has a steel-frame concrete structure, and is spread across five above-ground floors and four basement floors. The ground floor is characterized by a bright, airy atrium that lets visitors to Ginza naturally come and go through the space. The rooftop terrace provides a precious open space in the middle of Ginza where you can relax, enjoy seasonal displays, or catch views of the cityscape.

Throughout the year, Ginza Sony Park hosts art exhibitions, cultural events, and music performances, staying true to Sony’s spirit of innovation and entertainment. Its flexible layout allows the space to transform, making sure that each visit is different. Dining is also part of the experience. On the B3 floor, you will find the “1/2 (Nibun no Ichi)” restaurant, where you can enjoy casual yet refined dishes inspired by Western and Japanese flavors. It’s a comfortable spot for a light lunch or dinner after exploring the exhibitions.

Whether you drop by for a few minutes or spend an afternoon exploring, the space invites you to pause, play, and connect with art, with people, and with the city itself. Free and open to the public, Ginza Sony Park is easily accessible from Ginza Station and offers a creative escape right in the heart of Tokyo’s most sophisticated district.
