Maebashi Galleria
A new way of seeing the city
Maebashi Galleria is an architectural marvel where visitors can experience contemporary Japanese culture through local art, events, and accommodation in Gunma.

Where art, greenery and living space coexist
Opened in May 2023, Maebashi Galleria is a new modular building that combines contemporary art galleries, a French restaurant, and green terraces with overflowing vines. There are also stylish living spaces on the upper levels which can be rented out for short-term stays.

The architectural concept is inspired by nature to create a place that allows people to enjoy all manner of activities while enjoying a fresh breeze blowing through the courtyard. There are many residences in Maebashi Galleria, all of which have large terraces that combine the surrounding nature of the open air with the dynamic landscape of a budding city plaza.

Maebashi Design City
Maebashi is the capital city of Gunma, located in the central part of the prefecture. Maebashi, once a pioneer in the modernization of Japan, is currently undergoing a major transformation as a “mebuku” (budding) town. In the downtown area, Maebashi represents the vision of “a city where good things grow” and is a place where you can see how urban development and private redevelopment can create a comfortable and creative space to live, work, play and learn.

Access to Maebashi Galleria
From Tokyo Station, take the JR Ueno Tokyo Line to Takasaki, then transfer to the JR Ryomo Line and get off at Maebashi. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Maebashi Galleria.
