Eat Local at Naya Yojo MEGURU
The store was created with sustainability in mind, using the repurposed farmhouse interior along with the original wooden beams and eclectic furnishings. The food at Naya Yojo MEGURU highlights the seasonal and local produce that is grown in nutrient-rich soil which is maintained using sustainable farming methods. The serene atmosphere helps guests feel more connected to the traditional farming methods that support the local community and the peaceful nature that surrounds them. Travelers interested in life in the Japanese countryside, eco-friendly farming practices, and traditional food are bound to enjoy a visit to Naya Yojo MEGURU.

The menu at Naya Yojo MEGURU features seasonal vegetables grown on the farm by local farmers, as well as unique herbal tea blends, delicious dashi broth, homemade udon and more. The store also offers a Japanese-style vegetarian meal called Yojo-gozen that incorporates local vegetables and wild plants to help nourish the body. Don’t forget to book this monthly meal in advance! Also on the menu is Koji-han, a light snack that Japanese farmers would traditionally eat when taking a break from work.

Access to Naya Yojo MEGURU
Naya Yojo MEGURU offers the Yojo-gozen meal set from 11:00 to 16:30, or until supplies run out, and light Koji-han fare from 14:00 to 16:30. Naya Yojo MEGURU will be closed on Sundays and Tuesdays until further notice (this schedule is subject to change during Golden Week, summer holidays, and New Years). Naya Yojo MEGURU offers a free shuttle bus service from Tokorozawa Station and Fujimino Station, which is easily accessible from Seibu-Shinjuku Station in around 45 minutes on the Shinjuku Line Express Honkawagoe train.
