Kinoene Sake Camp
Camp out under the stars on the grounds of a 300-year-old sake brewery in Shisui, Chiba
Iinuma Honke offers visitors the exceptional opportunity to stay overnight for a fully immersive sake brewing experience.

A brewery focused on the future
Iinuma Honke has been brewing sake since the Edo period, and its signature Kinoene Masamune is aimed at spearheading a new wave of sake - sake that is made to be shared in a variety of spaces that are open to the community and enjoyed by many different generations. Kinoene Masamune is intentionally crafted to be paired with the traditional fine Japanese cuisine served in the brewery’s own restaurant, Kinoene Omoya. Housed in a 300-year-old renovated ancestral home that has been a cherished residence for generations of the Iinuma family, the on-site restaurant serves sake paired with seasonal culinary offerings inspired by the 24 solar terms of the Asian calendar, which are all deeply intertwined with the art of sake-making.

An immersive sake brewery experience
Kinoene Sake Camp was opened in 2023 so that visitors can come to the brewery by car and stay overnight at the dedicated campsite within the brewery grounds. By staying overnight, visitors can take their time to enjoy and experience sake brewing and tasting in a variety of ways.

On a tour of the historical brewery, visitors can see each step of the sake-brewing process, taste different sakes paired with seasonal washoku in the restauran. On the farm, you can see exactly where the sake rice grows, and in summer you can even pick several different varieties of organic blueberries. Camping is available all year round, so why not delight in the singular joy of sake in the unique location where it was brewed?
