SCAPES THE SUITE is a compact design hotel located on the Morito-kaigan in Hayama, a quiet stretch of sandy beach only an hour from central Tokyo. With a front view of Mt. Fuji and Enoshima, SCAPES THE SUITE offers a space and service that will "color the sensibility of adults" by addressing the time that guests truly want to spend. There are only four guest rooms. Located at Shinnase Beach in Hayama, Kanagawa, Hayama Ocean Sports offers year-round standup paddleboarding (SUP) lessons. But these aren’t just any ordinary SUP lessons. While paddling, students get to enjoy a picturesque view of Mount Fuji. The nearby Najima Island, a small island with a torii gate, can also be seen. The 2-hour classes are kept to a small number and are led by instructors with over 10 years of SUP-teaching experience. Instructors closely guide participants through the basics for about an hour and a half, before students are given free time to paddle on their own. Included in the package are required SUP equipment, a wet suit, as well as a life vest. Participants are also welcome to use the shower facilities inside the clubhouse after the session. If you’re looking to try your hand at a new water sport, try out a SUP lesson with Hayama Ocean Sports. And if you need a break, you could always take one on your board and appreciate Mount Fuji’s beautiful silhouette.

Previously home to the Japanese painter Hoshun Yamaguchi, this mansion is open to the public as an art museum and boasts of being the place where he produced many masterpieces. Come and peruse his paintings and antique collection in our exhibit! The studio was designed by Isohachi Yoshida, a master of modern sukiya architecture, and the garden contains seasonal plants, a must-see if you're in the area. The main building and studio were registered as a national cultural property in 2023.

We hold exhibitions several times a year. There is a walking path where you can enjoy sculptures on the grounds, as well as a museum shop and a restaurant where you can enjoy the view of the Isshiki coast.

This stone monument was built commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Akutagawa Prize awarded to Shintaro Ishihara's novel "Season of the Sun". Zushi Beach is called the "half-a-mile beach where the sun was born" for its actively enjoyed marine sports throughout the year. This monument is a symbol of Zushi Beach.
