It was founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo to invite the spirits of Mishima Taisha and has a beautiful evening view, selected as one of the 50 most scenic spots in Kanagawa. Come and enjoy the view of the sun setting against Mt. Fuji! It was famous as a sacred place, used for exorcism since ancient times, especially during the Kamakura period. It is now a sacred place for children, visited by many people from all over Japan.

Previously home to the Japanese painter Hoshun Yamaguchi, this mansion is open to the public as an art museum and boasts of being the place where he produced many masterpieces. Come and peruse his paintings and antique collection in our exhibit! The studio was designed by Isohachi Yoshida, a master of modern sukiya architecture, and the garden contains seasonal plants, a must-see if you're in the area. The main building and studio were registered as a national cultural property in 2023.

SCAPES THE SUITE is a compact design hotel located on the Morito-kaigan in Hayama, a quiet stretch of sandy beach only an hour from central Tokyo. With a front view of Mt. Fuji and Enoshima, SCAPES THE SUITE offers a space and service that will "color the sensibility of adults" by addressing the time that guests truly want to spend. There are only four guest rooms. Sound, light, sea, and sky unique to Hayama are expressed in four color themes. We hold exhibitions several times a year. There is a walking path where you can enjoy sculptures on the grounds, as well as a museum shop and a restaurant where you can enjoy the view of the Isshiki coast.

It is an attractive program-packed outdoor fitness club that makes full use of the seas and mountains of Hayama, surfing, SUP, beach yoga, outrigger canoeing, trail running, Nordic walking etc, which are not otherwise experienced elsewhere. (From Zushi · Hayama WEB)
