The annual Sunflower Festival is held at the outskirts of Mashiko Town every second week of August . The fields are about 10 hectares in size for the sunflowers. Entrance and parking is free.  

Each year from around late September through until middle-October, cosmos flowers bloom in a space of 5 hectares at the Nabatame Cosmos Field in Mashiko Town. The cosmos here come in a variety of colors including orange, pink, purple, and white. And you can pick some flowers from the fields and take them home too.

Since its establishment in 1986, Yoshimura Nouen has been devoting itself to producing strawberries that make everyone fall in love, enjoy, and smile. It is also producing a unique blend of soil, which is indispensable for growing tasty strawberries. In its 30 greenhouses, strawberries that fit the preference of the times are produced with innovative efforts, and visitors can enjoy picking a wide variety of strawberries there. You can taste the difference of not only rare breeds but also breeds that represent Tochigi, including Tochiotome, Skyberry, and Tochi-Aika. To make strawberry picking enjoyable to more people, the farm has created a walkway wide enough for strollers and wheelchairs. In 2023, the farm also created a café space.

This brewery produces an array of choice sake and received a gold medal at the Annual Japan Sake Awards for its Sanran-daiginjo brew. Their facility tour is popular with tourists， where the brewer explains its history in detail. Come learn about the tradition and techniques of sake production. A gift shop on the grounds sells choice brews and cosmetics made with sake. Enjoy coffee brewed with the same water used for the sake， sweets with sake lees， a sake tasting set， and more at their café."

Held every summer at Tonoike Brewery in Mashiko, the popular “Japanese Sake Garden” event offers unlimited tastings of the brewery’s signature sake, Sanran. The experience also includes a special bento box filled with sake-friendly appetizers. A must-visit for sake lovers!
