Unleash your inner beast at Tochigi’s Animal Kingdom!

Situated in Tochigi’s scenic hot-spring resort area, the Nasu Animal Kingdom is a diverse animal park home to a huge variety of critters and creatures from all over. More of a large, animal-filled farm than a zoo, Nasu Animal Kingdom offers a new way to interact with some of the world’s most fascinating animals in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Here you can meet the park’s popular, and very social, capybaras before attending one of the regular animal shows.

Nearby you’ll find Alpaca Hill and the curly-haired alpacas just waiting to be fed and petted. There’s also an on-site tropical rainforest where guests are welcome to admire sleepy sloths and cheeky monkeys as well as families of colorful tropical birds fluttering over the enclosures housing horses, camels, and kangaroos. Educational and exciting animal shows run daily, including bird shows featuring eagles, hawks, horned owls, and other birds of prey. There also an adorable cat show and an aquatic show complete with air-flipping seals. However, the most extraordinary event has to be the New Zealand farm show, where you can marvel at the discipline and intelligence of the farm’s resident sheepdogs who guide sheep with grace and unforgettable class.
