Soji-ji Temple

Soji-ji is the main temple of the Soto sect and one of the largest temples in the Kanto region. Originally located in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, it was relocated to Tsurumi in 1911, and contains vast grounds featuring architectural complexes, including the Daseido. Visitors may explore the grounds freely, with the halls of the temple also open to visitors under the supervision of monks. *A 1-hour round-trip course. ※ The experience contains a Zen meditation session in English and vegetarian food tasting. Places for viewing the auditorium on the temple grounds may be restricted due to infectious disease control measures.A temple located in Tsurumigaoka, a scenic place with views of the sacred Mt. Fuji. Open-to-all Zen meditation sessions are held every month on designated days and instruction is available in English on certain days.

Kureha Ecology Management Wastech Kanagawa incinerates waste to both render it harmless and reduce its volume while simutaniously generating electricity using the heat from waste incineration, thus supplying surplus power to the local community. In addition, efforts to attain decarbonization are being made through various initiatives, including maximized power generation efforts, energy conservation within the plant, and transition to carbon-free electricity and fuel for plant operations. Visitors can tour each step of the process, from waste reception to crushing, incineration, and post-incineration residue treatment. Factory tours are available for groups of 10 or more.

Ichijo Ekan Sanso Villa, a nationall designated Important Cultural Property villa with sukiya-style architecture, is surrounded by its beautiful garden, a space where hydrangeas, autumn foliage, red pines, and moss thrive. With the murmuring of the Nameri River flowing nearby and the chirping of wild birds, it is a lush Japanese garden where you can enjoy Japan's four seasons with all five senses. There is also a cafe within the garden where you can enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets. Tours of the villa are held regularly (advance reservations required so please check the website).

Nissan Motor Yokohama Plant Guest Hall / Nissan Engine Museum

From their collection of roughly 200 engines, the Nissan Engine Museum permanently displays 28 engines representing Nissan Motor Company, allowing visitors to view engines from throughout Nissan's history and the very engines that made strides in racing. The museum building itself originated as Building No. 1 of the Yokohama Plant in 1934, which served as the company headquarters until its relocation to Ginza, Tokyo, in 1968. The building was designated as a Historic Building by Yokohama City in 2002 and was recognized as a Modern Industrial Heritage Site by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2007.
