“Tonodake”, the most popular climbing spot in the Tanzawasan area, is known as the roof of Kanagawa Prefecture and boasts an elevation of 1,491 meters. Many climbers visit the mountain from early in the morning. There are a variety of routes that can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced climbers. Once you reach the summit, a 360-degree panoramic view will refresh both your mind and body.Early morning trekking allows you to enjoy a special experience with fewer people and clear air.

Kanazawa Zoological Gardens

Kanazawa Zoological Gardens

Herbivorous animals such as koalas, elephants, and giraffes are raised here, as well as rare animals such as rhinos and Arabian oryx. Our gray kangaroo walk-through exhibit allows visitors to walk through and observe them up close. At the "Familiar Life Museum," we preserve the natural environment in and around the lush garden, a place where children and adults alike can learn about animals, from insects to small mammals. The adjoining Kanazawa Nature Park has a 100m roller slide which is popular with children, and a BBQ area.The zoo will extend its opening hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in August, and will hold a special summer evening event where the zoo will open to the public at night, an experience otherwise unavailable to the public. The zoo will be decked out with projection mapping and bamboo lanterns, and visitors will be given a chance to experience a view of the animals at night, more active than in the daytime!

Hakone Kowaki-en Yunessun

This hot spring theme park consists of two areas: The "Yunessan" area where visitors can have fun in swimsuits, and the "Morinoyu" area where they can relax and enjoy hot spring baths in the nude. The park also features an authentic coffee bath, an open-air bath with a spectacular view, a flowing pool, and the only water slide in Hakone. Visitors can also experience the mysterious sensation of a "doctor fish footbath", all in the comfort of a bathing suit. The "Morinoyu" area boasts a landscaped open-air bath with a view of the Hakone mountain peaks. Private baths have been added and are getting ever popular. There is an additional rest area and a relaxation room where you can receive esthetic treatments and massages. Come enjoy this all-weather facility at any time of year!

World-famous lighting designers created these light displays based on the theme of jewels, using around 5.5 million LED bulbs of 8 different varieties and 30 colors. The garden is transformed into a glittering dream world and is packed with couples. Although it is great to simply walk through, we recommend looking down on the lights from the other attractions.

U.S.-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Festival

The "U.S.-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Festival" is an annual event where the U.S. army base in Zama, Japan, opens to the public. Take a stroll inside the normally inaccessible U.S. military base and admire over 300 cherry blossom trees. Many American foods, such as hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs will be available at food stalls for you to enjoy the international flavors. There are also live bands and a DJ, as well as a kids zone, making it fun for everyone in the family!

Koboyama Park

Koboyama Park

This prefectural nature park consists of three low mountains, and hiking can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. The view from the observatory extends from Sagami Bay to Mt. Fuji, and has been selected by the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as one of the "100 Best Views of Fujimi in Kanto". In spring, the park is famous for its cherry blossoms, with over 1,400 cherry trees in bloom, and in 1994 it was selected as one of the "100 Best Places for Flowers in Kanagawa".

Yumemigasaki Zoo

Atop a small hill, this Kawasaki City-operated zoo is free to enter and open year-round. Visitors can observe roughly 50 species of animals up close, including red pandas, lemurs, and even animals rarely see in Japan, such as Hartmann's mountain zebras and the large-horned markhor! Aquatic creatures are also a big hit, like Humboldt penguins and Chilean flamingos. Inside the zoo there are open spaces and playground equipment, making it the perfect spot to relax and spend time with young children.

Yokohama Night Flowers is an event that transforms Yokohama’s night sky into an exciting celebration of color. This multi-month event features five-minute fireworks shows one to three times a month at Yokohama Port. The kaleidoscope of colors sparkle on the bay and shine above the cityscape, making for a mesmerizing night out—perfect for couples, friends, and families! As the name suggests, the fireworks bloom before you, like flowers in the sky.The time and launch point of the fireworks (Osanbashi or Shinko Pier) vary depending on the day.
