Tokaido GLASS

Just a short walk from Keikyu Kawasaki Station, you can try your hand at making "Kiriko", a traditional glass craft, at a workshop located along the old Tokaido road at the ruins of a Kawasaki post. Visitors can choose from a variety of glasses and plates and consult with the studio to find their favorite design, so even beginners can try their hand at faceting. Take your creations home as souvenirs!The classroom nestled within an aesthetic building that was renovated from an old liquor wholesaler. You will use two types of grinders to sharpen the glass, but even beginners can feel at ease as each class is held in small groups, with careful and detailed instruction.

Odawara City Tourism Exchange Center

A base facility that distributes information on Odawara tourism and provides content for visitors to experience the traditional culture of the region. This facility also features various hands-on workshops, a café, museum store, bicycle rentals, and rental space. The building itself is made of Odawara cypress and Japanese cedar.Visitors can experience Odawara's traditions and culture through the “Odawara Chochin,” “Yosegi-zaiku,” “Kaisendon,” and a variety of other content that both adults and children will enjoy through same-day reception (no reservations required).

One of Japan's largest citywide illumination events. A spectacular show of the harbor's waterfront, historical buildings, and modern buildings will be synchronized with light and music, and a large-scale projection mapping at the Port of Yokohama's Osanbashi International Passenger Boat Terminal and an interactive light show in Yamashita Park will create a beautifully lit Yokohama on a winter night. Kibune Festival

Kibune Festival

Kibune Shrine’s Kibune Festival, set in Manazuru, is considered one of Japan’s three major ship festivals and occurs annually in late July. It is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.During this two-day event, numerous boats—including one carrying a mikoshi (portable shrine)—are adorned with vibrant flower decorations and towed by oar-operated boats called Kaidenma in Manazuru Port. Both the daytime and illuminated nighttime visuals, which are accompanied by traditional songs and instruments, are mesmerizing. Manazuru celebrates this festival for prosperity in fishing and good health.The festival also features traditional Kashima dancing and mikoshi processions. It is a unique cultural experience you won’t want to miss!

This fireworks display is held at Miyagase Lake, located amid rich natural surroundings. The inspiration for this event was to create a way for residents who moved to Miyagase and those who remained in Miyagase to get together and remember their hometowns following the construction of the Miyagase Dam. On the day of the festival, approximately 2,000 fireworks are shot off.The Miyagase Furusato Fireworks Festival is a great opportunity to enjoy the loud sounds echoing off the mountains and the vivid contrast between the fireworks and the night sky, which is unique to Miyagase's rich natural environment. *Please check the official website for the latest information.

Lake Ashi, called Ashinoko in Japanese, is one of Hakone’s most scenic natural retreats. Resting at the base of Mt. Hakone, this largely undeveloped lake is lined with lush seasonal foliage and even offers views of Mt. Fuji on clear days. This enchanting scenery has made Lake Ashi a popular destination for cruises and watersports, including kayaking! Ashinoko Club, located on Lake Ashi’s southern end, is an excellent base for all your watersports needs. The rental facility offers three kayaking experiences that are suitable for visitors of all ages—a morning tour, an afternoon tour, and the Kuzuryu Shrine course. These guided kayaking experiences take between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the course, and offer unique perspectives of the renowned lake and encircling scenery. One of the area’s most prominent photo spots is Hakone Shrine with its partially submerged torii (gate). This brilliant vermilion structure seemingly glows against the deeper tones of the forest beyond, making for an enchanting visual. If you are lucky, you may even be granted a view that encompasses both Hakone Shrine and Mt. Fuji! A single building rental villa limited to just 3 groups per day, located in Hayama about 30 minutes by car from Kamakura and 1 hour from central Tokyo. The villa is a 2 minute walk from Ohama Beach and Hayama Park, and nearby the Hayama Imperial Villa, the oldest imperial residence in Japan that still retains its special atmosphere. The villa has views of Mt. Fuji on clear days and "Diamond Fuji" is able to be seen in both spring and autumn. The beach is also a great space to walk your dog, windsurfi, and SUP. Our spacious area of 75 square meters is fully equipped with a kitchen and plenty of cooking utensils and tableware. As a center for connecting “people,” “city,” and “culture” through sports and entertainment, this facility was opened on July 24, 2020, complete with a martial arts hall that can accommodate roughly 500 people on the first floor, an arena that can accommodate nearly 3,000 people on the second floor, and a VIP lounge on the fourth floor. It is primarily used for martial arts events, basketball, futsal, gymnastics, table tennis, and professional wrestling. In addition to sports, this facility can also be used to host music events.
