A base facility that distributes information on Odawara tourism and provides content for visitors to experience the traditional culture of the region. This facility also features various hands-on workshops, a café, museum store, bicycle rentals, and rental space. The building itself is made of Odawara cypress and Japanese cedar.Visitors can experience Odawara's traditions and culture through the “Odawara Chochin,” “Yosegi-zaiku,” “Kaisendon,” and a variety of other content that both adults and children will enjoy through same-day reception (no reservations required).

The main steamed fish paste store has been set up in the eaves, and you can walk around freely without walls or fences. The street used to be a fish market, and it features rows of more than 30 stores, which are not limited to steamed fish paste stores but also include dried fish stores, dried bonito flake stores, restaurants, shops serving food and drink, and Japanese confectionary stores.

A specialty chopsticks store founded in 1893. This store, which has the appearance of a store from long ago, introduces the production process that is used in transforming bonito fished fresh from the sea into katsuobushi, or small pieces of dried bonito. There are many regional products that communicate the industrial culture of Odawara that has existed from times of old. This includes representative local industries such as kamaboko, tsukemono, confectionery, dried fish, shiokara, and woodwork. This is one of the “town corner museums” that raises awareness of the charms of Odawara through well-planned exhibitions, conversations with the store owner, and direct experiences.

With a trunk circumference of 4.5 meters, it is the largest inumaki tree in Odawara City and is designated as a natural monument of the city. Out of all of the large trees in the Odawara Castle Ruins, this inumaki is the most magnificent in shape.

Our restaurant proudly boasts six different types of lunch. Part of the fun of our store is choosing from over 20 types of oden additions while basking in the aroma of dashi enveloping the restaurant. At night our selection expands to over 45 varieties of oden! Satisfy both your soul and stomach with our delicious side dishes unique to Odawara. We also have a tea room and an annex (reservations required) at the back of the long, narrow grounds, so there are multiple ways to enjoy our store.
