The birthplace of Japan’s modern social movements, preserving the legacy of Shozo TanakaLocated in Konaka-cho, Sano City, the "Tanaka Shozo's Former House" is a Tochigi Prefecture-designated historical site and the birthplace of Shozo Tanaka. He was a politician who dedicated his life to protecting the people from the Ashio Copper Mine Pollution Incident, advocating for environmental conservation and human rights. Known as one of Japan’s earliest social activists, he devoted himself to supporting the weak and voicing opposition to injustice. The house, built in the late 19th century, still retains its original thatched-roof style. It is open to the public as a memorial site. Inside, materials and exhibits related to the Ashio Copper Mine Pollution Incident are displayed, along with detailed explanations that help visitors learn about Tanaka’s life and activities. Shozo Tanaka donated all his property to his hometown before passing away, dedicating himself to agricultural education and revitalization, embodying the spirit of selfless devotion.

"Furusato Miya Festival," the biggest summer festival of Utsunomiya City, holds on the first weekend on August every year. It began on 1976 to celebrate 80th anniversary of Utsunomiya City, and became a symbol of the city.   Under the theme of " Meet and Connect," a variety of events will color the summer in Utsunomiya, including dances, Japanese drums, Ohayashi performances, Miyakko parade by children, and Mikoshi (portable shrine) performances, all centering on the main street of Utsunomiya.

Prefectural Aikawa Park is located on a river terrace directly below the Miyagase Dam. The 51-hectare expanse includes the "Flower Slope," where 44,000 colorful azaleas of 40 varieties bloom all over in spring, and "Wind Hill," which offers an excellent view of the Yokohama Landmark on a clear day! You'll be amazed by the impressive scenery from all seasons! In addition, the "Adventure Forest" and the "Fluffy Dome" are equipped with large playground equipment that allow children to play all day long, and during the water season, the "Jabu-Jabu Pond" is filled with the sound of children's cheers all year round. From April to November, the park is used as a base for observing the dynamic discharge of the Miyagase Dam, and the "Ai-chan-go" road train, popular with children, runs from in front of the Park Center to below the dam. The "Craft Workshop Village" in the park is operated as a base for disseminating information on the traditional crafts of the local town of Aikawa to the rest of the prefecture and beyond, as well as a place to increase local interest and promote interaction between visitors and the community through creative experiences that allow visitors to come into contact with traditional crafts. A railway museum that both adults and children can enjoy. Exhibits of the Odakyu Line cars (from the opening to the present day) and the "romance cars" are very popular photo spots. We also offer other experiences, including the "Romance Car Simulator," where you can enjoy a driving simulation in a real train driver's seat, and the "Kid's Romance Car Park." Our "Diorama Park" reproduces the Odakyu line from Shinjuku to Odawara, Hakone, and Enoshima. The giant diorama truly is a masterpiece, with about 190㎡ using both retired and presently active cars and features original songs and projection mapping. Our amusement park is full of attractions both children and adults can enjoy. Our roller coaster "Bandet" runs through the forest at a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour, perfect for the adult thrill-seeker. This concert hall is located in the Minatomirai area of the Nishi ward of Yokohama City. Since its opening in 1998, the concert hall has been well known as a "concert hall with a view of the sea" not only to the citizens of Yokohama but also to artists from Japan and abroad. It has a large hall (2020 seats) with a large pipe organ, a small hall (440 seats) suitable for chamber music concerts, and a reception room for parties and small-scale presentations.

The Kanazawa Bunko was a samurai library built by Hojo Sanetoki, a member of the Hojo clan (Kanazawa Hojo) in the middle of the Kamakura period (1185-1333). The collection covers a wide range of subjects, including politics, literature, and history, and the policy of collecting books was continued by three successive generations of the Hojo family: Akitoki, Sadaaki, and Sadamasa, further enriching the collection. The Kanazawa-Hojo clan shared the same fate with the fall of the Kamakura shogunate, and the collection was administered by the adjacent family temple, Shomyoji Temple, which has continued to manage it into the modern era. The present Kanazawa Bunko was restored as a Kanagawa Prefecture facility in 1930, and since 1990, it has been a museum of history. The Prefectural Kanazawa Bunko is dedicated to preserving for future generations the valuable cultural assets that have handed down the legacy of the Kamakura period, exhibiting the results of its research and studies, and providing public access through lectures and other programs.

Located in Kanazawa Ward, this fireworks festival is organized for civilians of the ward and is held on the last Saturday of August. Every year 3000 fireworks are set off offshore from Umino Park. The festival has a history of over forty years, and the fireworks can be enjoyed all across the area.
