Prefectural Aikawa Park is located on a river terrace directly below the Miyagase Dam. The 51-hectare expanse includes the "Flower Slope," where 44,000 colorful azaleas of 40 varieties bloom all over in spring, and "Wind Hill," which offers an excellent view of the Yokohama Landmark on a clear day! You'll be amazed by the impressive scenery from all seasons! In addition, the "Adventure Forest" and the "Fluffy Dome" are equipped with large playground equipment that allow children to play all day long, and during the water season, the "Jabu-Jabu Pond" is filled with the sound of children's cheers all year round. From April to November, the park is used as a base for observing the dynamic discharge of the Miyagase Dam, and the "Ai-chan-go" road train, popular with children, runs from in front of the Park Center to below the dam. The "Craft Workshop Village" in the park is operated as a base for disseminating information on the traditional crafts of the local town of Aikawa to the rest of the prefecture and beyond, as well as a place to increase local interest and promote interaction between visitors and the community through creative experiences that allow visitors to come into contact with traditional crafts. "Furusato Miya Festival," the biggest summer festival of Utsunomiya City, holds on the first weekend on August every year. It began on 1976 to celebrate 80th anniversary of Utsunomiya City, and became a symbol of the city. Under the theme of " Meet and Connect," a variety of events will color the summer in Utsunomiya, including dances, Japanese drums, Ohayashi performances, Miyakko parade by children, and Mikoshi (portable shrine) performances, all centering on the main street of Utsunomiya.
Cheese Garden Nasu Honten offers a wide variety of sweets, cheese, tea and local groceries, along with their famous “Goyotei Cheesecake”. The café serves drinks, cakes and sandwiches. If you have more time, the restaurant “Shirasagi-tei” is a relaxing space to enjoy fine dining along with music and a garden with a small stream running through. Dogs are welcome on the terrace.
A railway museum that both adults and children can enjoy. Exhibits of the Odakyu Line cars (from the opening to the present day) and the "romance cars" are very popular photo spots. We also offer other experiences, including the "Romance Car Simulator," where you can enjoy a driving simulation in a real train driver's seat, and the "Kid's Romance Car Park." Our "Diorama Park" reproduces the Odakyu line from Shinjuku to Odawara, Hakone, and Enoshima. The giant diorama truly is a masterpiece, with about 190㎡ using both retired and presently active cars and features original songs and projection mapping. The cafe attached to the museum is free to enter and relax in. Conveniently located next to Ebina Station on the Odakyu Line, it is a museum that can be enjoyed by train enthusiasts, families, friends, and couples.
Our amusement park is full of attractions both children and adults can enjoy. Our roller coaster "Bandet" runs through the forest at a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour, perfect for the adult thrill-seeker. The scenery is spectacular from the highest point, standing at 51m from the ground. These free foot baths are located at the plaza in front of Tobu Railway Kinugawa-onsen Station. The simple alkaline springs are said to relive conditions such as nerve pain and muscle soreness. The baths are often visited by tourists after a day of exploring or trekking in Kinugawa. They are also used as a meeting place by locals."
