Watanabe Sahei Shoten is a family run brewery from 1842in Nikko. Katayama shuzo is a family run company from 1880 in Nikko. What particularly interesting is they use a traditional machine to make sake as shown here. The machine is called a "Fune" they use this machine to press the sake bags squeezing out sake. This technique takes a lot of time & labor. Exactly， they can make a distinctive flavor of sake. Nikko Strawberry Park is the first strawberry grower in Tochigi to be certified by Global G.A.P.*， and is committed to high standards of safety and quality. Nikko experiences dramatic changes in temperature between the mornings and evenings， and has a source of clean water in the Nikko Mountain Range. These elements combined with the farmer's skill produce juicy strawberries with the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. In Nikko city， there are lots of handmade soba (buckwheat noodles) shops. (there are over 100 soba shops) It is said that the number of shops rate per the population is No.1 in Japan. Also the production of buckwheat is No.1 in Tochigi prefecture. Additionally Nikko city is rich in fresh ground water for soba which originates from the mountain of Nikko. This is a sensational event held at the Kinugawa Riverbed Ryokuchi Park in late August， where shakudama (approx 30 cm)  fireworks shells launched into the air seem so close you feel like you could reach out and touch them.

On the evening of August 15， some four thousand floating lanterns (tourou) light up the surface of the waters at Gyoyagawa Mizube Park， imbued with the spirit of prayers to the ancestors and lending the surrounding area a magical atmosphere.

In this event， held at Aramachi Hondori on a Saturday in late August， 2，000 participants march down the street while performing dances.

Held over the course of a Friday， Saturday， and Sunday in late July of each year， this festival is full of impressive sights including 27 portable shrines (mikoshi) and 9 parade floats (dashi) and carts， a portable shrine parade down a river， and a fireworks show featuring roughly 20，000 fireworks.

A traditional event that has been passed down in the Kugeta area since 1873. Chokai mikoshi for town associations and children's mikoshi go forth to fill the streets with excitement.

For the Ryuou Festival at Goryuo Shrine in Ryuokyo Canyon, a priest is invited from Nikko Toshogu Shrine to perform a Shinto ritual. Afterwards, in the evening, a grand festival is held in the hot spring towns of Kinugawa and Kawaji. At the main festival in Kinugawa Onsen, there is a procession of the magnificent Manto Mikoshi, or "Ten Thousand Lantern Mikoshi" (a mikoshi is a portable Shinto shrine), as well as the beautiful Onna-Taru Mikoshi, which is carried by women only. Additionally, there are folk entertainment performances, stalls， and for the grand finale, a brilliant fireworks display that lights up the night sky.  

Cherry blossom viewing spots in Kinugawa Onsen, “Gokoku Shrine” and “Onsen Shrine” Located at the foot of the Kinugawa Cable Car, Gokoku Shrine and Onsen Shrine are one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kinugawa Onsen and Tochigi Prefecture. During the cherry blossom season, a week-long cherry blossom lighting event called “Kinugawa Mangekyo” is held. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the cherry blossoms are lit up, creating an otherworldly, beautiful scene that is sure to mesmerize. In addition to night lighting events, the venue also hosts mini concerts, cherry blossom banquets, and other events that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the world of nighttime cherry blossoms with their friends and family.   Convenient transportation During the event period, there are two main ways to get to the venue from Kinugawa Onsen's various lodging facilities. The first is to take the shuttle buses prepared by the event organizers (contact the official website for details on how and where to take them), while the second is to call a cab from your hotel and tell the taxi driver to “鬼怒川万華郷・定額タクシー利用 (Kinugawa Mangekyo, flat-rate cab use)”, and you will be able to go to the venue with a fixed fare of 1,000 yen.

With the Nikko Mountain Range, the Nasu Mountain Range, and Mount Yamizo, Tochigi is a mountainous prefecture with many sources of fresh water. One of the biggest Satsuki Bonsai Festivals in Japan is held from the end of May to the beginning of June. Kanuma is Japan's ultimate source of Kanuma soil, and Bonsai made with Kanuma soil are famous. Among many kinds of Bonsai, be sure to see the Satsuki Azaleas. They are a single tree whose blossoms are mysterious and beautiful and whose flowers have various colors and shapes. During the festival is being held, there are numerous events, such as Satsuki workshop and present of Satsuki saplings, a music concert, and a folk entertainment.

Enjoy a mock Sumo festival of Ikiko Shrine. Nakizumo， crying baby Sumo， is Japan's traditional event to pray for health and growth of the baby. In this style of Sumo wrestling， two children from one to two years of age are carried respectively by two local parishioners dressed as Sumo wrestlers to battle each other with shouts of "Yoisho， Yoisho，" with the winner being the who cries first. It is held at Ikiko Shrine every September.

The Utsunomiya Fireworks festival is an annual event that takes place on the second Saturday of August, held at Dojojuku Field. This festival is the largest fireworks in Kanto area with 20,000 fireworks being set off into the sky.    

The festival starts since 40years ago when the city marked 80th anniversary of its birth. Enthusiastic events unfurl for two days in and around the main streets of the city. "
