It is a park located on the hill overlooking Yokohama Minato Mirai 21. This park has 200 cherry trees, and cherry blossoms in the spring time are famous. In the park, there is also the statue of Naosuke Ii who contributed to opening Yokohama Port.

Pilot Corporation, known today for the pens, created a high-end fountain pen utilizing Maki-e lacquer techniques in 1926 (Taisho 15). Later, the Kokkokai (a group of Maki-e artisans) was founded with living national treasure Maki-e artisan, Gonroku Matsuda, as its center. As a result, the ancient Japanese art of Maki-e has been preserved for over 100 years. Today, the workshop is in a brick building in Hiratsuka, which previously housed the former Second Navy Ammunitions Arsenal. The history of Maki-e-lacquered fountain pens and lacquered pieces are part of the exhibit.

Roughly a 10 minute walk from Kita-Kamakura Station, this 85-year-old traditional Japanese house is surrounded by a spacious garden and lush greenery and offers reservation-based workshops, such as pottery experiences, cooking classes, dyeing workshops, and yoga. Pottery experiences are held daily. Experience fees are as follows: Leaf plate making: 3,400 yen, bowl making: 5,000 yen and up (shipping seperate). Private rentals are available depending on group size. Lunch boxes or meals can be provided alongside workshops. The attached gallery is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as holidays, from 11AM to 4PM (no reservation required). You can also enjoy drinks in the garden on sunny days. Kiyoken is famous for its shumai. At the Yokohama factory, you can observe the production process of shumai and shumai bento. After the tour, you can sample freshly made shumai! Reservations are required due to limited capacity.

This shrine is dedicated to Prince Shinno Morinaga, the son of Emperor Godaigo, who devoted himself to overthrowing the Kamakura Shogunate. In 1869, Emperor Meiji built a shrine at the place where Prince Morinaga passed away and named it "Kamakura Shrine" in honor of him.

This dancing festival is iconic of Yamato, which is considered one of Kanto’s top three Awa Odori festivals. Dancers wearing brightly colored outfits move in time with the echoing gongs and drums. If you find yourself wanting to dance, you’re welcome to join in for the “Niwakaren”!

Hikawa maru is a cargo-passenger ship built in 1930 at Yokohama and used for a Seattle Sea Route, which was designated as a important cultural property. In the ship, you can observe Art Deco-designed furniture at 'The Passenger's area' and a dynamic engine-room at 'The Crew's area', and you can learn the history of Hikawa maru at 'The Exhibition area'.

We sell various types of "Hakone Yosegi Zaiku," a traditional Japanese craft. We explain the history behind the craft daily and offer workshops to make secret boxes, coasters, and train-shaped money boxes. Registered cultural artifacts are also on display, so please come and visit us!

Mitsuishi, also known as Kasashima, is a symbol of the Manazuru Peninsula and is famous for the first sunrise of the year. It is a mysterious place that connects to the peninsula only at low tide.

Located in front of JR Sakuragicho station, it is the best location for business and sightseeing. Access and transportation are also outstanding. There are 24 hours convenience stores and about 15 restaurants and cafes available.

Japanese Calligraphy Performance involves wowing spectators by spectacularly writing calligraphy to music wearing old Japanese costume and using large brushes on large sheets of paper. It is also possible to actually experience Japanese culture in hands-on Japanese calligraphy using brushes and sumi (Japanese ink). Performances can be arranged at the MICE venue.

Sagamiko Illumillion is Kanto's largest illumination event with 6 million shining orbs. It is also certified as one of the three major illuminations in the Kanto region.For a memorable and less rushed experience stay overnight at PICA Sagami Lake (formerly known as the Paddington Bear Campground), which is located on Sagamiko Resort MORIMORI grounds. This facility is filled with quaint cabins and a nearby barbeque area where you can cook and purchase ingredients on-site.An illumination event at the Sagamiko Resort MORIMORI outdoor complex. Kumano Shrine enshrines a god of hot water, and hot water runs down the purification trough. There are 'Yukake-matsuri' on the fourth Saturday of May, and regularly held festival takes place at the same weekends. At the Manyo Park located at the center of spa town, there are so many Manyo plants (plants cited in the Manyoshu). There are also Manyo-tei modelled after ancient architecture of Manyo era, a monument engraved with a waka which is the only waka about hot water, and a monument of Doppo Kunikida, whose novels are focused on Yugawara.
