The "U.S.-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Festival" is an annual event where the U.S. army base in Zama, Japan, opens to the public. Take a stroll inside the normally inaccessible U.S. military base and admire over 300 cherry blossom trees. Many American foods, such as hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs will be available at food stalls for you to enjoy the international flavors. There are also live bands and a DJ, as well as a kids zone, making it fun for everyone in the family!

This ancient temple in Kamakura is known for the 1,000 moso bamboo trees on its grounds. Even in the present day, the solemn atmosphere of the temple conveys the tragedy of the Ashikaga clan. It also features a beautiful bamboo grove and garden. The “Sunday Zazen-kai” (Zen meditation), which has a reputation for being strict, is held every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. and is open to everyone. The museum was built on the former site (about 6,300㎡) of the Kaikatei Hotel, a hotel for Westerners of the Meiji period. The total floor space of the 5 story building is about 7,700㎡ and the exhibition area is about 5,000㎡. Ancient and modern art, centered around Japan, China, and Korea, that were collected by Kazuo Okada, honorary director, are on exhibition at the large venue.This 12m-high by 30m-wide mural adorns the museum facade. “Wind/Time” by Fukui Kotaro shows two guardian deities of Hakone soaring through the air in this decorative masterpiece reminiscent of the Rimpa school.Opposite the "Wind/Time" mural, sip while you dip in 100% natural hot spring water at this relaxing footbath cafe.After arriving at the museum, please try the footbath and enjoy a private tour of the back room of Kaikatei, where an overview of the museum and highlights of the special exhibition will be given. In March 2025, this store located in an old storehouse was renovated to add a dining area. You'll want to try the "Rice Flour Pizza", made with rice flour produced during the rice polishing process, along with tasing sets, and more. Visitors can enjoy enjoy the cintunously broastcast videos about rice production and sake brewing, adding an extra depth to the experience by allowing you to see, taste, and experience Izumibashi's cultivation and brewing firsthand. This museum exhibits works created by master craftsmen of Hakone Yosegi-Zaiku (Hakone marquetry), a traditional Hakone craft. Inside the exhibition room, you can actually touch and play with works with mechanisms such as secret boxes. Why not try your hand at becoming a craftman yourself? Hands-on workshops are also available for you to create your own Hakone Yosegi-Zaigku pieces like secret boxes, coasters, and train-shaped piggy banks.

Located in Miyamae-ku, Kawasaki City, this is the only prefectural park in Kawasaki City. It is home to a Kanagawa Prefecture natural treasure, a Japanese white oak forest, and the Higashitakane Ruins (ancient lawn square), which are the remains of a Yayoi Period settlement. A gymnasium that served as a model for the popular manga, Slam Dunk. Though as a work site the railroad in front of Kamakura High School is famous, it was the Akibadai Gymnasium that served as the model for the venue for the games.
