Kanagawa Prefectural Center of Flowers and Greenery, Kana Garden is a facility where you can enjoy the Flower Zone, an area filled with seasonal flowers, including a photogenic rose garden and a large panoramic flowerbed, as well as the Agri Zone, a rare feature for a botanical garden, where you can experience harvesting seasonal vegetables such as tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as rice planting and harvesting. Enjoy a picnic or play ball under the blue sky on the spacious lawn! If you're feeling peckish, dine at the Garden Restaurant or enjoy shopping in the facility. This is a place where everyone from children to adults can kick back and enjoy!

The Miura Kaigan Sakura Festival is held along the railroad from Miurakaigan Station to Komatsugaike Park from the middle of February to the middle of March. There are approximately 1000 kawazu-zakura trees planted along the railroad. Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms are known to bloom early and have large pink flowers. Flowers also bloom at the same time so you can enjoy the beautiful colorful scenery. At the tents in front of the station, local products such as fresh vegetables are sold.For a scenic view, stand on the overpass near Miurakaigan Station where you can observe the cherry blossoms and passing trains from above. The juxtaposition of the red trains against the soft pink flowers is a coveted view. Trains run fairly frequently, so you will have many opportunities to snap the perfect shot.During the cherry blossom festival, enjoy the fantastic illuminated night cherry blossoms that emit a different atmosphere from daytime. In particular, the 1km illumination along the railroad track that runs from the station to Komatsugaike Park is spectacular. Please check the Miura City website for details on the light-up.

It is a 700 meter walking trail by the coastline at the tip of Manazuru peninsula. You can enjoy walking while overlooking Sagami Bay and Mitsuishi Shore.

This bus carries you from Yokohama Station to Nogeyama Zoo, a free zoo which is rare nowadays, in about 20 minutes. The bus runs between Yokohama Station/Sakuragi-cho Station and Nogeyama Zoo.

Chigogafuchi is selected as one of Kanagawa's 50 scenic spots. It is also a perfect fishing spot. The scenery of the sun setting at Mount Fuji is extraordinary. You can also play with rocks at the sea.

Enjoy a video and light display projected on the ground at the Shinko Chuo Hiroba, along with a special program that integrates the surrounding buildings in a light show.

This beach is located in Ninomiya Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. Enjoy a dragnet fishing experience at Sodegaura Beach, just a 7 minute walk from Ninomiya Station on the JR Tokaido Line. Thanks to its prime location, this dragnet fishing experience is widely used for company and community events, hands-on learning, and school trips. We provide thorough explanations so that even first-time visitors can feel at ease. It's as simple as pulling a rope in tug-of-war, making for an enjoyable experience from children to adults. The real excitement lies in the sheer wonder as to what could be inside as the net is pulled ashore. Participants can even directly touch marine life caught in the net, offering a valuable learning experience about biology, nature, and diet. The "come-as-you-are BBQ" plan is also extremely popular, featuring delicious Shonan Shirasu (whitebait)♪

The Shonandai Cultural Center is a large facility with unique buildings such as a large globe, a civic theater and children's hall, and a community center. The children's museum has an exhibition hall where children can learn hands-on while having fun playing with toys from around the world and ethnic musical instruments. We also offer a planetarium with live commentary, a “space theater” with realistic full-dome movies, and a workshop room where many workshops are held.

It is a general term for three shrines, Hetsu-miya, Nakatsu-miya, and Okutsu-miya. Each shrine enshrines three sister goddesses, as well as eight-armed Benzaiten and Myon Benzaiten, part of Japan's three major Benzaiten.

We reopened as Yokohama Strawberry Park on April 23rd, 2022, with a new reservation system and only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. We allow you to enjoy fresh, delicious strawberries regardless of the season. The strawberries at our facility are carefully grown by people with disabilities under the guidance of strawberry cultivation experts. You can enjoy our strawberry juice and parfait, which both use strawberries harvested at our facility, at our cafe, which can be used without a reservation.

A quiet, secluded inn nestled on a hill in Hakone-Yumoto. All rooms are spacious and have a view of the garden with Nishikigoi swimming in them. In addition to two large baths, guests can enjoy the hot spring in the privacy of their guest rooms. Breakfast and dinner are served in the room, and many guests return for the seasonal kaiseki cuisine.

Prefectural Aikawa Park is located on a river terrace directly below the Miyagase Dam. The 51-hectare expanse includes the "Flower Slope," where 44,000 colorful azaleas of 40 varieties bloom all over in spring, and "Wind Hill," which offers an excellent view of the Yokohama Landmark on a clear day! You'll be amazed by the impressive scenery from all seasons! In addition, the "Adventure Forest" and the "Fluffy Dome" are equipped with large playground equipment that allow children to play all day long, and during the water season, the "Jabu-Jabu Pond" is filled with the sound of children's cheers all year round. From April to November, the park is used as a base for observing the dynamic discharge of the Miyagase Dam, and the "Ai-chan-go" road train, popular with children, runs from in front of the Park Center to below the dam. The "Craft Workshop Village" in the park is operated as a base for disseminating information on the traditional crafts of the local town of Aikawa to the rest of the prefecture and beyond, as well as a place to increase local interest and promote interaction between visitors and the community through creative experiences that allow visitors to come into contact with traditional crafts. Please make reservations in advance.

Sarushima is the only deserted island in the Tokyo Bay area and is also the biggest natural island. Here you can enjoy many activities such as barbecue, fishing, and strolling around major historical ruins. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get there by boat from the Keikyu Line Yokosuka Chuo Station. (The boats to Sarushima have different capacities, ranging from 80 people to 200 people maximum depending on the season.) This easily accessible sightseeing spot is designated as a National Historic Site.Sarushima was originally a defensive outpost. These brick tunnels, alongside other abandoned structures, are signs of its military history.Before or after getting the boat to Sarushima, we recommend checking out the memorial warship Mikasa, which is in Mikasa Park adjacent to the pier. Mikasa is the oldest surviving steel battleship in the world and is recognized as a Cultural Property of Japan. On board, you will find a great number of historical exhibits. Additionally, on the first floor of the Mikasa Terminal (opened in July 2020), you can buy tickets for the boat to Sarushima, as well as souvenirs and light meals. There is also a tourist information center. We recommend that you visit the Sarushima Visitor Center on the second floor while you wait for the boat. There is no reservation system for boarding, so please arrive well in advance of your desired departure time. The Mikasa Terminal is also the base for landing tours to Tokyo Bay's No.2 Sea Fort.

The Kaisei Awa Odori dance festival is held in mid-September and features spectacular dances performed by local residents' associations and companies, as well as by local dancers from out of town. The streets around the Kaisei Town Hall, the venue of the festival, are filled with 1,200 enthusiastic dancers.

Located in Kanazawa Ward, this fireworks festival is organized for civilians of the ward and is held on the last Saturday of August. Every year 3000 fireworks are set off offshore from Umino Park. The festival has a history of over forty years, and the fireworks can be enjoyed all across the area. Everybody waits eagerly for the giant "Starmine" fireworks to be set off at the end of the night.

Visitors can learn about the structure of kimonos, see firsthand how kimonos are washed, and experience a portion of the "washing and stretching" process.

There are 5000 hydrangeas in this rice paddy area the size of 3.6 Tokyo Domes. Enjoy a leisurely walk as you take in the sights of the fields green with the newly planted rice, and the vibrant colours of the blooming hydrangeas. One of the highlights is the Hydrangea Pond in the main venue, Hydrangea Park, where approximately 2,000 hydrangeas float on the water.
