The shumai dumplings from Kiyoken are known as a famous food of Yokohama. At the Yokohama factory, you are able to tour their shumai and o-bento lunchbox production lines. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes. On this tour, you can learn about the history of the popular Ekiben lunch boxes and learn the secret to producing the delicious shumai o-bento lunch boxes. Through the glass, you can witness the important manufacturing process. Why not enjoy something that can only be enjoyed at this particular place? There is also a mini-museum shop in the factory where you can eat freshly cooked shumai and buy souvenirs.

Roughly a 10 minute walk from Kita-Kamakura Station, this 85-year-old traditional Japanese house is surrounded by a spacious garden and lush greenery and offers reservation-based workshops, such as pottery experiences, cooking classes, dyeing workshops, and yoga. Pottery experiences are held daily. Experience fees are as follows: Leaf plate making: 3,400 yen, bowl making: 5,000 yen and up (shipping seperate). Private rentals are available depending on group size. Lunch boxes or meals can be provided alongside workshops. Located at Shinnase Beach in Hayama, Kanagawa, Hayama Ocean Sports offers year-round standup paddleboarding (SUP) lessons. But these aren’t just any ordinary SUP lessons. While paddling, students get to enjoy a picturesque view of Mount Fuji. The nearby Najima Island, a small island with a torii gate, can also be seen. The 2-hour classes are kept to a small number and are led by instructors with over 10 years of SUP-teaching experience. Instructors closely guide participants through the basics for about an hour and a half, before students are given free time to paddle on their own. Included in the package are required SUP equipment, a wet suit, as well as a life vest. The Hase Ceramics Workshop gives you the valuable experience of using an electric potter's wheel in an authentic workshop. Even beginners will be able to make their own original piece in about an hour with the help of an instructor, who will teach you how to use the potter's wheel and how to shape your pottery into your desired form. Your finished piece will be sent to you by post after it has been dried and fired.

Suzukien Fruit Garden is a tourist orchard that keeps the height of trees low on a flat land. A wide range of visitors ranging from small children to elderly people and also those who are in wheelchairs can enjoy picking fruit in a safe environment. You will walk on the road along the mountain fields. From Kotakuji Onsen, you will walk on the forest trail and see the impressive waterfall, Ogama Benzaiten, and then enter the mountain trail. After passing the curved path, you will hike up a ridge that ascends 400 meters of Hinata-yama.

This plantation, where you can harvest produce by hand, was opened to the public out of a desire to let others experience both joy of farming firsthand and the deliciousness of fresh vegetables. Fruits and vegetables grown with utmost care fill the plantation from end to end. By harvesting them yourself, you will experience a truly meaningful flavor when you eat them. The plantation also has a store where they sell produce.

TIVOLI is confection maker which opened in November 2017 that produces assorted cookies and boasts the top share in the domestic market. This is their only facility for factory tours and direct retail. The theme is “sweet factory for the five senses.” From the second floor, visitors can observe the staff working and the robots moving nimbly as the sweets are produced. They also offer opportunities for guests to try making their own sweets. Small children can also participate. Guests can also enjoy learning about confection production and eat the freshly baked goodies.

We have been farming in Yokohama for over 500 years.After cultivating rice and vegetables, raising pigs and chickens, and growing flowers, we began producing “Ohisama Shiitake” in 2012 and “Ohisama Kikurage” in 2014. In addition to prioritizing safety and quality, we aim to share the deliciousness of food, as well as the enjoyment and importance of agriculture. To this end, we offer experiences such as mushroom picking, BBQ, and at-home shiitake growing kits.We are also committed to environmentally friendly, sustainable farming. Electricity generated by solar panels and other renewable energy sources is used in our mushroom cultivation. Spent mushroom beds are not discarded but returned to the fields as compost, creating a sustainable cycle for growing delicious vegetables.At the farm, you can also try experiences such as using a hand-pumped well and entering an air-raid shelter. At our farm stand, in addition to fresh shiitake and kikurage mushrooms, we offer a variety of processed products, including tsukudani, caramel popcorn, and potato chips made with dried shiitake powder, and pasta kits packaged in collaboration with welfare facilities.

On the southern side of Matsuda-yama, there are many farmhouses where you can pick mandarin oranges. You can eat mandarin oranges while overlooking Mount Fuji. You can become an owner of a mandarin orange tree.
