The shumai dumplings from Kiyoken are known as a famous food of Yokohama. At the Yokohama factory, you are able to tour their shumai and o-bento lunchbox production lines. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes. On this tour, you can learn about the history of the popular Ekiben lunch boxes and learn the secret to producing the delicious shumai o-bento lunch boxes. Through the glass, you can witness the important manufacturing process. Why not enjoy something that can only be enjoyed at this particular place? There is also a mini-museum shop in the factory where you can eat freshly cooked shumai and buy souvenirs.

Located at Shinnase Beach in Hayama, Kanagawa, Hayama Ocean Sports offers year-round standup paddleboarding (SUP) lessons. But these aren’t just any ordinary SUP lessons. While paddling, students get to enjoy a picturesque view of Mount Fuji. The nearby Najima Island, a small island with a torii gate, can also be seen. The 2-hour classes are kept to a small number and are led by instructors with over 10 years of SUP-teaching experience. Instructors closely guide participants through the basics for about an hour and a half, before students are given free time to paddle on their own. Included in the package are required SUP equipment, a wet suit, as well as a life vest. Participants are also welcome to use the shower facilities inside the clubhouse after the session. If you’re looking to try your hand at a new water sport, try out a SUP lesson with Hayama Ocean Sports. And if you need a break, you could always take one on your board and appreciate Mount Fuji’s beautiful silhouette.

We are a sports bike rental store with locations in Yokohama, Shonan, and Shinjuku. You can enjoy Minato Mirai in Yokohama, Kamakura, and Kugenuma Beach in Shonan, and Shibuya, Yoyogi Park, Meiji Shrine, and Shinjuku Gyoen in Shinjuku. We also have cross bikes and road bikes available.

This is one of the few "Kids only circuits" in Japan. It is mainly targeted towards children of 5 to 10 years, but they are used by people of a wide range of ages, even adults. Everyone receives proper explanations of the rules before going on the ride, so even if it is their first time, it is safe for children.

Odawara lacquerware is created using a technique passed down since the Muromachi period (1336-1573). The artist repeatedly rubs unrefined lacquer using a potter's wheel and combines the “kijironuri” and “irourushinuri” techniques, blending together to create handmade lacquerware which accentuates the beautiful wood grain of the natural materials. At Okawa Mokkoujo (wood turning and potter's workshop) we create various types of lacquerware, including trays and bowls, as well as polishing experiences for soup bowls, dish boxes, and balls. We also create one-of-a-kind patterns using water paper. Any items made can be taken home the same day and used at home. (Optional: apply lacquer to the item for a glossy finish. This takes around three weeks to complete and costs 1,500 yen, including shipping).

This is a nature-rich managed fishing and barbecue area located in Tanzawa Oyama National Park. Visitors can enjoy mountain stream fishing in a natural setting and barbecue along the river while fishing. There is also a fishing pond for children and beginners, and trout catching can also be enjoyed in summer. Within the national park, there is a cable car that connects the shore of Lake Ashi to the summit of Mt. Komagatake over a total distance of 1,783 m. The cable car takes about seven minutes each way. From the summit of Mt. Komagatake, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Hakone that centers on Lake Ashi and can see the magnificent Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps beyond it.
