This is a fire festival held during Little New Year (around January 14) that has continued since the Edo period. In summer, nine sites are set up on the beach, which is crowded with bathers, and fire is lit to pray for good health and family safety. The festival is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan and attracts many people every year. It is said that if you eat dumplings cooked over the fire you will not catch a cold, and if you write your name on a piece of paper that you burned and it flies up high it will make your arms grow longer, and if you take a pine cinder and put it on your roof it will be a charm to ward off fire.

From early June to early July, you can witness natural Luciola cruciata and Luciola lateralis fireflies. Travel through the grove of cedar trees to reach the iris garden, which resembles a scene from paradise at night when the fireflies dance through the skies above it.

From Iiyama Kannon Chokokuji Temple it is about a 25 minute climb to reach the Hakusan Observatory. These Enoshima caves were formed within the island by wave erosion. The complex consists of two caves: the First Cave (with a depth of 152m) and the Second Cave (with a dept of 56m). It is said that Kobo Daishi and Minamoto no Yorimoto once visited the caves as to pray to the Goddess Benzaiten as they are considered the origin of Benzaiten worship. There is also a gallery introducing Enoshima history and culture inside the caves, allowing visitors to explore history with a sense of thrill.

Koganei Sake Brewery, established over 200 years ago, is the official brewery for Sakarimasu sake. Situated near the entrance to Nanasawa Onsen in the lush city of Atsugi, it produces sake using the famous mineral waters at the eastern foot of Mount Tanzawa, along with carefully selected sake rice. The brewery also produces a large number of other products using locally sourced ingredients, such as shochu (a Japanese distilled spirit), Sagami Beer (a craft beer range), craft gin, and liqueur, and there is a shop on the premises where you can purchase these. You can also book a tour of the brewery, complete with a tasting session (minimum of 6 people, reservation required).Sakarimasu is a local sake that has been made for over 200 years since the company was founded in 1818, using carefully selected sake rice from all over Japan and quality spring water from the eastern foothills of Mt. Tanzawa. There is also a shop on the premises.

Okuninushi, the deity of Kibune Shrine, is a god who bestows the “divine virtue of knots,” which is indispensable in our lives. Since ancient times, he has been known as the god of good fortune, and, as seen in the myth of the white hare of Inaba, he is believed to have paved the way for the beginning of medicine and medical science. He is always pouring out boundless love so that people can live happy lives. The Kibune Shrine Festival is held for two days in July every year. It is famous for its magnificent boat festival and has been designated as Japan's important folk cultural property.

Herbivorous animals such as koalas, elephants, and giraffes are raised here, as well as rare animals such as rhinos and Arabian oryx. Our gray kangaroo walk-through exhibit allows visitors to walk through and observe them up close. At the "Familiar Life Museum," we preserve the natural environment in and around the lush garden, a place where children and adults alike can learn about animals, from insects to small mammals. The adjoining Kanazawa Nature Park has a 100m roller slide which is popular with children, and a BBQ area.The zoo will extend its opening hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in August, and will hold a special summer evening event where the zoo will open to the public at night, an experience otherwise unavailable to the public.
