It is a sake brewery located in Matsuda-cho, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1825 which focuses on Japanese sake under the brand name "Matsumidori". Using water from the Tanzawa mountain range, the sake is soft on the palate and has a gentle taste. We are a 70 year old Japanese confectionary shop. We strive to select only the best ingredients and produce and sell wagashi (Japanese traditional sweets) that are good for the body. Our store offers a variety of creative seasonal wagashi, including Karinto manju, a specialty of Kawasaki.

There are different areas for different flowers such as the rose garden or Chinese peony garden. There are sometimes exhibitions inside the greenhouse. There is also a lawn area, a pond, and a Japanese garden. Enjoy relaxing amongst the beautiful and cute flowers.

There is said to be a stone pagoda which was made into the tomb of Minamoto no Yoritomo near the site of Hokkedo (tomb hall), with the remains of Hokkedo also found in the vicinity. Together they are designated as a National Historic Site.

Our amusement park is full of attractions both children and adults can enjoy. Our roller coaster "Bandet" runs through the forest at a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour, perfect for the adult thrill-seeker. The scenery is spectacular from the highest point, standing at 51m from the ground. The Oiso Market started in September 2010 with the hope to preserve the currently lively Oiso for the younger generation to enjoy. The Oiso Market has about 190 craft and food shops that congregate in the port (Oiso Port), and is the largest morning market in Kanagawa Prefecture. From July to August it is a night market.Enjoy buying and eating locally caught fish, bread, and sweets. There is also a lively night market in summer.

“Hana to Utsuwa no Harmony” is an early summer event that started in 2001. The event takes place at 7 Yamate Seiyoukans in Yokohama. The theme of 2017 was “Motenashino Hana Monogatari (hospitalities and stories of flowers) -- 7 Chapters --”. Seven coordinators arranged the flowers and tablewares of each Seiyoukans differently. (Theme is different each year)This event is not only about the decorations but paid workshops, such as flower arrangements. This 9-day event usually starts on the first Saturday of June and ends on the second Sunday of June.

The Somei Noh Stage, the oldest Noh stage in the Kanto region, was built in 1873 by the Maeda family, the former lord of the Kaga Domain, and opened in 1996. Various events are held with explanations to help beginners understand and unique planned performances and workshops, earning the stage the slogan “a Noh theater with a low threshold.” Once a month, we hold tours (advance reservation required) where the staff guides visitors through exhibits related to the history of the Nohgaku and the Noh stage, as well as private dressing rooms not normally accessible to the public. ※ Closed from January 2024 to June 2026 due to renovation work.

Tanakaya has been loved by many celebrities including Hirofumi Ito, Soseki Natsume, and statesman of the Meiji period, Soseki Natsume. Being introduced by Katsu Kaishu, Ryoma Sakamoto's wife, Oryo, worked here.

Anest Iwata Turnpike (toll road) is a scenic spot at the edge of Hakone with 360-degree scenic views. From here you can see Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi on the mountain side, Hatsushima and Oshima, and Miura Peninsula and Boso Peninsula on the sea side.

The Tsubaki Line refers to the Kanagawa Prefectural Road No. 75 Yugawara Hakone Sengokuhara Line. At “Tsubaki-dai,” chosen as one of Kanagawa’s 50 most beautiful sights, there is a small plateau in the middle of the Tsubaki Line that connects Oku Yugawara Onsen and Daikanzan. There are many camellia trees growing along the Tsubaki Line, and the viewing season is from February to April.

Kouka Awazu is a Japanese calligrapher. She started teaching calligraphy because she had a great experience when she performed abroad and received enthusiastic applause. At this calligraphy school, foreign people can experience Japanese calligraphy in short time and in deep understanding. They offer an English course.

Approximately 500 cherry trees, including the Yoshino variety, line both banks of the Hikiji River, spanning about 1.3 kilometers. Many people visit when the blossoms are in full bloom, as they form a gorgeous tunnel around the river, making for a picturesque scene.Visit in early April to appreciate the beautiful blossoms.

Our petting zoo has many small birds such as parakeets and Java finches, large birds such as peacocks, and small animals such as squirrel monkeys and chipmunks. At the petting zoo, visitors can hold and touch cute guinea pigs and rabbits. Let's spend our time therapeuticly interacting with cute animals.

The whole of Cape Kannonzaki is maintained as a park and there, you can find an art museum with scenic landscapes and the Kannonzaki Lighthouse where you can enjoy a view of the Boso Peninsula. There are also wartime ruins you can visit the whole year round, and in summer, you can spend a day at the beach or enjoy a delicious barbecue. This place is also famous for its hydrangeas, and is selected as one of Kanagawa’s Top 100 Flower Spots.
