Based on the concept of "enjoying learning and being well prepared", you can learn the importance of helping by experiencing earthquake tremors, firefighting, evacuation from smoke, and other simulated disasters. It is the only disaster prevention experience-based learning facility in Yokohama City.
The Kamakura Owl's Forest is accessible from Kamakura Station. Visitors can interact with 20 owls of 14 different species, from the popular Barn Owl to the Great Horned Owl. There is no time limit and reservations are not required, so feel free to drop by.

The Kuzuha Green Space, which consists of the Kuzuha River, which runs almost in the centre of the Hadano Basin, and a canyon surrounded by abundant greenery, was designated as" Kanagawa's National Trust No. 1 Green Space" in 1987. "Kuzuha no Ie", which is a base for nature observation, was opened in 1998, and visitors can get close to nature and also holds nature observation meetings, seasonal gatherings and nature observation instructor training courses, and various other activities to encourage nature protection. You can view the rooms reminiscent of the past, with marble fireplaces and stained glass, as well as the important resources inside from related authors such as Yasunari Kawabata. In the garden filled with greenery, some 250 shrubs of roses bloom in Spring and Autumn. This building is the model for the villa in Yukio Mishima’s novel, “Spring Snow”.The grounds and rose garden are quite beautiful, but there is not a lot of English support available inside the museum.

The shumai dumplings from Kiyoken are known as a famous food of Yokohama. At the Yokohama factory, you are able to tour their shumai and o-bento lunchbox production lines. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes. On this tour, you can learn about the history of the popular Ekiben lunch boxes and learn the secret to producing the delicious shumai o-bento lunch boxes. Through the glass, you can witness the important manufacturing process. Why not enjoy something that can only be enjoyed at this particular place? There is also a mini-museum shop in the factory where you can eat freshly cooked shumai and buy souvenirs.

Soba Noodle Restaurant "Shirakawa-go" is on the 1st floor of the Yamashita House located in the center of Nihon Minka-en. This house is an old folk house with a large gassho-zukuri-style thatched roof, which is designated an important cultural property of Kanagawa prefecture. The soba noodle served here is made of spring water obtained from Oshino village in Yamanashi prefecture.
During the outbreak of an epidemic in Ebara-gun, Musashi Province, in the Genroku era (1688-1704), Yuten Shonin (a holy priest), who was on pilgrimage, taught the local people to revere Acala, a fierce Buddhist deity. Once they began to worship Acala the plague disappeared. Migawari Fudoson Temple began when one of its halls was built to enshrine Acala in order to give thanks for such a miracle. Nowadays, worshippers visit all year round in order to pray for traffic safety and to ward off evil. Visitors can also pray at the temple for family safety, business prosperity, academic success, and general good luck. The main temple is in Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture, with branches in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Suginami City, Tokyo.
