Shiboku-san Togakuin Temple is a temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism, and there are few records of its history. Passing through the Niomon Gate, visitors will enter a manicured azalea garden and continue along the approach to the main hall, which was rebuilt during the Ansei Era. Various events such as Zen meditation sessions, sutra reading sessions, and numerous other workshops are held here. The events are also posted on YouTube and other social networking sites.

The Hakone Daimyo Procession is one of Hakone's most famous festivals and held on November 3 every year. Under a clear autumn sky, a total of more than 170 people walk in a procession with people shouting "Shimo ni Shimo ni" (down, down, down), making it a great historical picture scroll that has continued since 1935.

An area with lots of vintage bars about a 1-minute walk from Yokosuka-chuo Station. It’s packed with about 70 shops including long-established snack bars, karaoke bars, and Japanese-style pubs with great food. This place is also known as the birthplace of the Yokosuka Brassiere, a cocktail of brandy cut with ginger ale.

The shrine is located on a small hill to the west of the main Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine. The oldest shrine pavilion on the grounds dates from the Muromachi period, and is surrounded by red flags dedicated by many people wishing for prosperous business.

This flower garden creates a full sense of the season and magnificence of nature with a wide range of plants and trees. The highlight of the park is the massive Japanese wisteria trellises in bloom from late April to mid-May. You will be totally stunned by four large wisteria vines and 80-metre tunnel of white wisterias,designated as a prefectural natural treasure.   In the evening the illuminated wisterias bring dream-like scenes. The park also draws large crowds during the fall and winter months, when the "Bejeweled Flower Garden" is held. It is one of the Kanto area’s top three annual illumination events. The garden welcomes over a million tourists throughout the year.

This ancient temple in Kamakura is known for the 1,000 moso bamboo trees on its grounds. Even in the present day, the solemn atmosphere of the temple conveys the tragedy of the Ashikaga clan. It also features a beautiful bamboo grove and garden. The “Sunday Zazen-kai” (Zen meditation), which has a reputation for being strict, is held every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. and is open to everyone. Please wear comfortable clothes to participate.This is probably the most impressive bamboo grove you will ever see. The entrance is located almost 300 m from JR Tsurumi station. On the both sides there are plenty of trees and wide road to the temple together with traditional entrance gates greeting many visitors.

The Oiso Market started in September 2010 with the hope to preserve the currently lively Oiso for the younger generation to enjoy. The Oiso Market has about 190 craft and food shops that congregate in the port (Oiso Port), and is the largest morning market in Kanagawa Prefecture. From July to August it is a night market.Enjoy buying and eating locally caught fish, bread, and sweets. There is also a lively night market in summer.
