Hakone Karakuri Museum

This museum exhibits works created by master craftsmen of Hakone Yosegi-Zaiku (Hakone marquetry), a traditional Hakone craft. Inside the exhibition room, you can actually touch and play with works with mechanisms such as secret boxes. Why not try your hand at becoming a craftman yourself? Hands-on workshops are also available for you to create your own Hakone Yosegi-Zaigku pieces like secret boxes, coasters, and train-shaped piggy banks.

Enoura Observatory

Enoura Observatory

The Enoura site, situated on a hilly citrus grove in the Kataura district of Odawara, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Sagami. The facility was envisioned by contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto as a forum for disseminating art and culture both within Japan and to the world and comprises a gallery space, two stages, a tea house, and other features that make the entire premise into a truly magnificent landscape.A guide familiar with the Enoura Weather Station will give you a special tour of each building and explain the various garden themes to you.Luxury in KanagawaIn August, enjoy the evening view of Enoura on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Katsuobushi Museum Kagotune

A specialty chopsticks store founded in 1893. This store, which has the appearance of a store from long ago, introduces the production process that is used in transforming bonito fished fresh from the sea into katsuobushi, or small pieces of dried bonito. There are many regional products that communicate the industrial culture of Odawara that has existed from times of old. This includes representative local industries such as kamaboko, tsukemono, confectionery, dried fish, shiokara, and woodwork. This is one of the “town corner museums” that raises awareness of the charms of Odawara through well-planned exhibitions, conversations with the store owner, and direct experiences.

Yokohama Tram Museum

The Yokohama Tram Museum opened on the site of the Takigashira rolling stock factory in 1973, one year after the tram was abolished. In 1983, it was then rebuilt on the first floor of the current municipal housing building. In the hall, stop signs, paving stones and seven tram cars are all preserved as they were at that time, and reproduce the atmosphere of the time when the tram was running.Yokohama was not only the site of the very first rail station in Japan, but also home to a great trolley system. Walk through the many restored cars where you can sit and imagine being transported around the city.

An exhibition of Venetian glass masterpieces that fascinated European royal aristocrats during the Renaissance. There are various facilities in the museum, such as a cafe restaurant where you can enjoy Italian cuisine and original sweets made with seasonal ingredients, and a museum shop where you can find glass products directly imported from all over the world.Magical atmosphere for lovers of glass and Venice, but don't expect to see anything Japanese here. Good on both sunny and rainy days.

Yokohama’s lights that appear at night〈Yorunoyo 2024〉

One of Japan's largest citywide illumination events. A spectacular show of the harbor's waterfront, historical buildings, and modern buildings will be synchronized with light and music, and a large-scale projection mapping at the Port of Yokohama's Osanbashi International Passenger Boat Terminal and an interactive light show in Yamashita Park will create a beautifully lit Yokohama on a winter night. Yokohama Night Flowers is an event that transforms Yokohama’s night sky into an exciting celebration of color. This multi-month event features five-minute fireworks shows one to three times a month at Yokohama Port. The kaleidoscope of colors sparkle on the bay and shine above the cityscape, making for a mesmerizing night out—perfect for couples, friends, and families! As the name suggests, the fireworks bloom before you, like flowers in the sky.The time and launch point of the fireworks (Osanbashi or Shinko Pier) vary depending on the day. Sagamihara City Museum

Sagamihara City Museum

Since its opening in 1995, the Sagamihara City Museum has been a beloved community institution serving as a comprehensive museum dedicated to the history and nature of Sagamihara City. By 2024, its total number of visitors topped 3.5 million. Through its collaboration with the adjacent JAXA Sagamihara Campus, the museum has hosted a number of world-first exhibitions, including the return capsule of asteroid probe "Hayabusa" in July 2010 and "Hayabusa 2" in March 2021. Futhermore, the July 2025 reopening unveiled the renovated planetarium, offering the world's first experience of viewing one billion stars simultaneously, in 8K video.
