This event is held every year from early February to mid-March in the Yugawara Plum Grove (Makuyama Park). On the foot slope of "Makuyama" where magnificent natural scenery can be seen throughout the four seasons, approximately 4,000 red and white plum trees bloom like a carpet of plum blossoms, and fill the park with the fragrance of plum blossoms, allowing you to enjoy a "plum blossom banquet".Mt. Makuyama has roughly 4,000 plum trees that bloom red and white. The park holds its Umenoen event, a plum blossom festival when the flowers reach their peak. The plum grove is lit up at night, offering a completely different scene from the day.

At the center of the park, there is a park center that serves as both a management office as well as an exhibition facility Remnants of the castle during the Warring States Period can be found throughout the park. This mountain is located on the border of Yugawara and Hakone, allowing a magnificent view of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashinoko. It is named after the famous Japanese painter of pre-World War II Japanese art, Taikan Yokoyama, who was said to love painting Mount Fuji.The panoramic view of the setting sun and Lake Ashi in the direction of Mt. Fuji is superb.

A 1,122 meter high mountain nestled within the Tanzawa Omote Ridge. One possible explanation for its name is a legend handed down through Karako Shrine, found at the foot of the mountain in the village of Yokono. It claims that long ago, a god flew from the Tang Dynasty of ancient China to hand over a statue of the god, as well as light three divine lanterns on a ridge that climbs from Yokono Village, with the first located at Karako Shrine and the second on a peak. This dam is situated in the northwestern part of the prefecture, near Higashitanzawa and is the largest gravitational concrete dam in the Greater Tokyo Area. There is a 6 minute long release of water from April through November, every Wednesday, the second and fourth Friday of the month, and every second Sunday of the month. It is done at 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock past noon.

“Tonodake”, the most popular climbing spot in the Tanzawasan area, is known as the roof of Kanagawa Prefecture and boasts an elevation of 1,491 meters. Many climbers visit the mountain from early in the morning. There are a variety of routes that can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced climbers. Maedagawa is a clean stream that is 1.4 km long with evergreen and deciduous trees surrounding it. There are many wild birds and water creatures and is a rare promenade in the Kanto area. It is also a part of the hiking course leading up to Mount Ogusu. *Partially closed

The approach from the bus terminus to the cable station is lined on both sides with inns and souvenir shops.

It has been selected as one of Kanagawa's 100 flower viewing spots. In the area of about 1.6 kilometers, there are approximately 300 Somei-Yoshino trees planted and they are in full bloom in the spring. It is also the main venue for the Citizen Sakura Festival and during the blooming period, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms that are lit up at night. The park is located on an island called Nojima at the entrance to Hirakata Bay in the southernmost part of Yokohama City. The area is famous for "Nojima no Sekisho" (a brocade picture depicting a sunset over the fishing village of Nojima)—part of the "Kanazawa Hakkei" (Eight Famous Views of Kanazawa) collection painted by Hiroshige Utagawa, an ukiyoe artist active in the late Edo period. Centered on Mount Nojima, 57m above sea level, the park features a number of facilities such as an observatory, barbecue area, campground, and baseball field, and from the observatory, you can see the sea of Yokohama, Boso Peninsula, and Mount Fuji. Other historical spots include the former Kanazawa residence of Ito Hirobumi, a Yokohama City-designated Tangible Cultural Property, and the Nojima Shell Mound.

Located on the peak of the gently-sloping Hiroyama, you can enjoy a view of Sagami Bay, Enoshima Island, and Mount Fuji. Besides observatories, there are also monkey enclosures and animal enclosures.

The ascent to the summit of Gyojadake is a series of small ascents and descents. The summit of Mt. Gyoja is narrow and not suitable for groups resting. A stone statue of En no Gyoja (En no Gyoja) used to be placed on the summit, but it has been damaged by the wind and rain. Located in one of Yokohama City's largest green areas, this facility allows visitors to experience nature while walking through a rich forest. Visitors are able to become familiar with insects and wild birds. Admission is free.

Yokohama Zoological Gardens "ZOORASIA" is a zoo themed around “coexistence and harmony of life and nature.” It is divided into 8 zones according to the world's climatic regions, with 570 animals of around 100 species (as of the end of March 2025), including rare animals like okapi and proboscis monkeys. The area came to be known as Kanuma as the area was covered with a reed-filled swamp in days past. It is said that the footsteps of the legendary giant Deirabotchi turned the area into a swamp. Today it is a place for relaxation, with many carp and ducks inhabiting the area.

It is the only place in Yokohama City that gives off the feeling of being in a valley, with the sunlight filtering through the trees, a stream of cool water, and a rocky area eroded by the water. A promenade surrounds the forest for anyone wishing to enjoy some trekking. It is said that the name origin comes from the story of Minamoto no Yoritomo's retainers setting up camp here to hunt.

The vast classical Japan garden covering over 175,000 square meters was opened by Hara Sankei, a businessman who made a fortune with the Japanese silk trade. Rinshunkaku, the Three-Storied Pagoda of Old Toumyouji are amongst the properties designated as Important Cultural Properties by the Japanese government. The garden is also a famous viewing spot for plum and cherry blossoms, azaleas, and autumn leaves.
