It is only a one minute-walk away from the Tobu-nikko station, which is the gateway to the Nikko area. The restaurant mainly uses hand-picked local ingredients, including yuba, a specialty in Nikko. Most dishes served here are gluten-free. The restaurant’s recommendations are “NIKKO Donburi,” a rice bowl topped with a generous amount of local Mae Nikko Wagyu roast beef, and “THE NIKKO Hamburger Steak Set Using Mae Nikko Wagyu and Nikko Pork.” Both are popular dishes served daily while quantities last.

NIKKKO PUDDING TEI is a custard pudding specialty shop in a cute and retro-taste building decorated in the Taisho Roman style (a vintage style inspired by the Taisho period). They prepare products inside the shop using milk produced in Tochigi Prefecture and other ingredients produced in Nikko such as the premium egg brand Nikko Goyouran. They offer a wide variety of custard desserts including ‘Nikko pudding’ with a silky smooth, creamy texture, ‘Otome-pudding’ using strawberries harvested in Tochigi Prefecture, and ‘Pudding with ice cream,’ which is a custard pudding topped with a tower of vanilla soft serve ice cream. mekke is a base for “discovering” the charms of Nikko based on the theme of "feeling, connecting, and touring". Workshops that can only be experienced here, such as Nikko carving and deerskin leather crafting, are held from time to time. It also has a coworking space and community space, and is used as a place where tourists and local residents can easily connect with each other. Electric bicycles can be rented and baggage storage services are available, allowing visitors to tour Nikko in comfort. On the first floor, there is an exhibition space for Nikko's history and traditional performing arts, as well as a tourist information center, where you can freely pick up pamphlets to help you gather information for your trip. The Nikko Woodcarving Village Craft Centre offers demonstrations of making Nikko Geta sandals and Nikko-style woodcarving. Visitors can try their hand at the traditional Nikko-style woodcarving by tracing designs on everyday items such as trays， hand mirrors and small plates.
