Saimyoji Temple, a temple of the Chizan school of Shingon Buddhism, is a famous temple known as Ryusyukuzan Kongoin Temple, which is said to have been founded by Jikaku Daishi or by Hojo Tokiyori. The temple was revered by the shogunate during the Edo period, and is also known for the enshrinement of Daikokuten, one of the seven gods of good fortune of Kawasaki.

This flower garden creates a full sense of the season and magnificence of nature with a wide range of plants and trees. The highlight of the park is the massive Japanese wisteria trellises in bloom from late April to mid-May. You will be totally stunned by four large wisteria vines and 80-metre tunnel of white wisterias,designated as a prefectural natural treasure.   In the evening the illuminated wisterias bring dream-like scenes. The park also draws large crowds during the fall and winter months, when the "Bejeweled Flower Garden" is held. It is one of the Kanto area’s top three annual illumination events. The garden welcomes over a million tourists throughout the year.

As one of the eight villages that offered seafood to the Shogun during the Edo era, Namamugi holds the event, the Namamugi Kyutokaido Festival, during which children and adults can eat all they want. The anago tempura is very popular.

The Enoura site, situated on a hilly citrus grove in the Kataura district of Odawara, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Sagami. At the "Hakone-Yumoto Fireflies Park", 3 minutes from Hakone-Yumoto station, you can see the dance of more than 500 fireflies in the center of Hakone, which was revived by continuous efforts of local people.The beauty of the light emanating from fireflies at night is worth seeing. The store is located just before the entrance to the grounds of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The company was founded here, and the store is filled with affection for Kamakura Beniya. Fondly known as “the temple of flowers” and “the temple of the kappa (a mystical water-dwelling creature),” Jousenji is home to flowers that bloom splendidly in each of the four seasons throughout the entire year. In particular, the “trident of spring” and the “white equinox flower of autumn” are famous. Numerous kappa are positioned in the grounds in random places so that visitors can enjoy them together with the flowers.

Shonan Kaigan Park is home to a number of facilities, including Surf Village, which houses the Park Management Office, Salt Breeze Plaza, Water Plaza, Kids Plaza, Palm Tree & Lawn Plaza, and the Multipurpose Plaza. It is a place where visitors can deepen their understanding of the sea, and serves as a base for general park visitors. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as beach sports and experience lifesaving activities.

Previously home to the Japanese painter Hoshun Yamaguchi, this mansion is open to the public as an art museum and boasts of being the place where he produced many masterpieces. Come and peruse his paintings and antique collection in our exhibit! The studio was designed by Isohachi Yoshida, a master of modern sukiya architecture, and the garden contains seasonal plants, a must-see if you're in the area. The main building and studio were registered as a national cultural property in 2023.

The Night Time Illumination of Mt. Oyama is held from mid to late November each year. Visitors can enjoy magnificent red leaves on Mt. Oyama as well as a sweeping views of the surrounding area that stretches out to Sagami Bay.The illuminations will take place on weekdays from sunset until 7pm, and on weekends and holidays from sunset until 8pm.

On the way to the summit from the main slope, you are able to view Mount Fuji on a clear day.Early morning trekking allows you to enjoy a special experience with fewer people and clear air.
