Lake Ashi, also known as Ashinoko, was created by a steam explosion of Mount Kamiyama about 3000 years ago. This caused a river to be dammed, which formed the lake. The majority of the lake’s water comes from a spring at the bottom of the lake. The area is often bustling with hikers along the shore, picnickers, and people fishing.The Hakone Sightseeing Cruise Pirate Ship is one of Ashinoko's most famous experiences. Pirate ships come in three different designs, but all cruises offer the same, smooth journeys across Ashinoko, promising a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji on clear days.Togendai Port is one of the three ports where the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise docks. It is also directly connected to the Hakone Ropeway.The Hakone Ropeway connects visitors from Togendai Port to the Owakudani observation platform, Hakone's most famous tourist spot. While the view of Mt. Fuji from the observatory is stunning on its own, the view from taking the ropeway alone will take your breath away.A 15-minute walk from Togendai pier, this small observation square is a lesser-known observatory that also provides beautiful views of Mt. Fuji and Ashinoko. If you feel like skipping Owakudani and taking a shortcut, this observatory is for you.Enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Mt. Oyama has been a theme for rakugo "Oyama Mairi" and a subject matter of Ukiyoe. Afuri Jinja (Shinto shrine) and Aburisan Oyamadera (Buddhist temple) were deeply believed in by the common people in Edo and this religious development had led to prosperity of shukubo (pilgrims' lodging) and souvenir shops at Mt. Oyama.About 50 shukubos are still in business and their specialty are tofu dishes. Clear spring water is used in making tofu. Each shukubo provides a variety of tofu dishes. Tamagaki (a fence around a shrine), Temizuya (place to wash hands and mouth), and Kabukimon (gate) create an atmosphere and liveliness of Edo period. The view from Oyama Afuri Jinjya was published on Michelin Green Guide Japon in June 2015 (Heisei 27) as a two-star scenic spot. Furthermore, "Oyama Mairi" was registered as Japan Heritage in April 2016 (Heisei 28). Mt. Oyama will draw many visitors/tourists' attention.

Beer bike is a vehicle originated in the Netherlands that is pedaled by several people while drinking beer. Tours are offered to visit two breweries on a beer bike. (Reservations required through the official website.)

Mt. Chausu，located at the north end of Tochigi prefecture，is an active volcano and the main peak of the Nasu mountains. It stands 1,915 metres above sea level. Take the ropeway to the 9th station of Mt.Chausu for a spectacular view of fields of flowers and autumn leaves. If you are a big fan of trekking，try the routes from the top of the ropeway to the crater of Mt. Chausu. A wide range of walking trails are available suitable for beginners and families. The panoramic view of the Kanto Plain below from the top of Mt. Chausu is breathtaking.

The Crafts Studio Village is a facility in which you can experience the traditional crafts of garment weaving, indigo dyeing, paper making, pottery making, and wood bamboo crafting in Aikawa Town’s prefectural Aikawa Park. You can try out activities that you would usually not get the opportunity to try, such as garment weaving and using a potter's wheel in order to create your own original items. It is a fun way to learn about the history of traditional crafts.

Opened to the public in 1949, this sports park has been the site for national sporting events and the Tokyo Olympics. Along with Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium, where J.League and Rugby Top League matches are held, and the JAAF (Japan Association of Athletics Federations) certified class 2 track stadium, this park has a wide variety of sports facilities including tennis court, horse riding area, Hiranuma Memorial Gymnasium, Kanagawa prefecture sports center.

The Kaisei Awa Odori dance festival is held in mid-September and features spectacular dances performed by local residents' associations and companies, as well as by local dancers from out of town. The streets around the Kaisei Town Hall, the venue of the festival, are filled with 1,200 enthusiastic dancers.

Unlike modern flood control methods that build high, sturdy levees, these double levees make good use of nature and allow water to flow outward from them. It is said that this was invented by Shingen Takeda, also known as Shingen Tsutsumi, a general in the Warring States period.

This shrine was founded in 710 (Wado 3) by famous priest Gyoki and constructed by Tokitada Someya, a powerful and rich man. It is dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. Minamoto no Yoriyoshi prayed to this shrine and his son, Minamoto no Yoshiie was born here. Founder and the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate, Minamoto no Yoritomo, his wife, Masako, a political leader, and their son, Minamoto no Sanetomo also worships this shrine. Here, you can find the well used for Tokimune Hojo’s (regent of the shogun) first bath and said to be Marquis Nijo’s favourite well. There is also an Man’yōshū (collection of Japanese poetry) inscription originating from the rear mountain named Mikoshiyama Mountain. This place also appears in the novel “The Sound of the Mountain” by Yasunari Kawabata.The greenery enveloping the worship hall and the straight, symbolic shrine path is lit up, creating a mystic and sublime atmosphere that beckons visitors.

Oisojoyama Park is a park where the former Mitsui Zaibatsu owner had his villa as well as where former Prime Minister Shigeru Yoshida spent his last years.

Mitsuike Park has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. Beginning with the winter cherry blossoms that bloom in mid-February, various varieties of cherry blossoms bloom at different times and are loved by visitors. In addition, you can enjoy nature—greenery and autumn leaves—throughout the four seasons, and there are playgrounds, baseball fields, and tennis courts to enjoy other leisure and play sports.
