Kanagawa Fishery Cooperative Association’s Misaki Processing Plant is located at Misaki Harbor, a harbor famous for its tuna, and they are one of the world’s largest tuna processing plants. A store is set up right on the plant grounds, where you can buy tuna and marine produce from the Miura Peninsula.
The Enoura site, situated on a hilly citrus grove in the Kataura district of Odawara, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Sagami. The facility was envisioned by contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto as a forum for disseminating art and culture both within Japan and to the world and comprises a gallery space, two stages, a tea house, and other features that make the entire premise into a truly magnificent landscape.A guide familiar with the Enoura Weather Station will give you a special tour of each building and explain the various garden themes to you.Luxury in KanagawaIn August, enjoy the evening view of Enoura on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. During the event, knowledgeable guides will give special tours of the Enoura Weather Station, including each building, garden theme, etc.
Naruse is in an old Japanese house, located in the Kamakura area. The house has a traditional Japanese straw roof. It has been renovated to be a Kaiseki cuisine restaurant. Since the building dates from the late Edo period to early Meiji period, the relaxing, old fashion atmosphere remains. You can enjoy local Kamakura vegetables and seafood here.

Visitors can enjoy drinks served in Kamakurabori lacquerware at a cafe and experience how it feels to use real lacquerware in daily life. The shop offers a variety of Kamakurabori that you may want to use in your daily life as well as items that go well with lacquerware. In the gallery, the various works of Kamakurabori artists along with other artists are displayed.
The Miura Kaigan Sakura Festival is held along the railroad from Miurakaigan Station to Komatsugaike Park from the middle of February to the middle of March. There are approximately 1000 kawazu-zakura trees planted along the railroad. Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms are known to bloom early and have large pink flowers. Flowers also bloom at the same time so you can enjoy the beautiful colorful scenery. At the tents in front of the station, local products such as fresh vegetables are sold.For a scenic view, stand on the overpass near Miurakaigan Station where you can observe the cherry blossoms and passing trains from above. The juxtaposition of the red trains against the soft pink flowers is a coveted view. Trains run fairly frequently, so you will have many opportunities to snap the perfect shot.During the cherry blossom festival, enjoy the fantastic illuminated night cherry blossoms that emit a different atmosphere from daytime. In particular, the 1km illumination along the railroad track that runs from the station to Komatsugaike Park is spectacular. Please check the Miura City website for details on the light-up.
The tradition of Yudate-kagura has been passed on since 1776. Spiritual rituals with the use of boiling water are performed throughout the country, but it is rare to see the performance done by the Shishi, a lion dog deity, as can be seen at this traditional event. Praying for health, safety, and prosperity the Shishi stirs the boiling water with a Kumazasa branch, and flick water from the branch to purify the participating spectators. This traditional event is selected as a National Traditional and Cultural Heritage event, as well as being registered as a Kanagawa prefecture important cultural heritage event.

Hiratsuka Offshore Comprehensive Experiment Tower is a marine and meteorological observation and oceanographic experiment platform installed in waters 1km off the coast of Hiratsuka, at a depth of 20m. Managed and operated by the University of Tokyo, the tower is used by various domestic and international research institutions as well as private equities for marine experiments. Easily identifed as the massive yellow structure visible from Hiratsuka Beach and in Ryujogaoka along National Route 134, it is nicknamed the "Hiratsuka Tower". Some visitors even paddle out to sea on standing paddleboards to get a close-up view!
Pacifico Yokohama is located on the waterfront of Minato Mirai 21, a new city in Yokohama, and is "the world's largest complex MICE facility." Pacifico Yokohama, a multi-purpose convention facility that can hold a variety of events such as academic conferences, incentives, corporate conventions, exhibitions, concerts, and events, will open a new facility in 2020. On the first floor of the North, a 6,300 m² carpeted floor with a pillar-free space will be created, making it the largest banquet venue in Japan to be used in conjunction with meetings.
SNOVA SHIN-YOKOHAMA is an indoor skiing ground where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding all year round. The course has an overall length of 60 m, width of 30 m, and a gradient of 10 to 14 degrees. A full-scale half pipe, large and small ramps are provided in spite of its size. This is the course that anyone can enjoy, from beginners to ones aiming to be a professional. A moving walkway will help you get to the upper part of the slope easily. The temperature is set 3 degrees below zero throughout the year, so you can go skiing and snowboarding even in summer. Anyone can go to SNOVA whenever he/she wants without preparation, becase they have ski wear and ski/snowboard equipment rental service. Skiing/snowboarding school are offered to beginners, so it is a perfect place for getting started before the peak season.
The brick and granite building is designated as an important national cultural property. The clock tower is situated in the southeast corner. It is affectionately known as “Jack,” with an octagonal dome in the southwest and a square dome in the northwest. The stained glass on the second floor is also a must-see! ※ Currently under renovation and so cannot be seen until March 2024.

Jogashima Park occupies the eastern half of Jogashima, located at the southernmost tip of Miura Peninsula. When you pass through the forest in the park, you will come across a unique prarie landscape. As this area was created due to the strong winds that blow from the Pacific Ocean and the strong sun, most of the plants are unable to grow tall. For this reason, black pine is grown in the inland areas of the island to avoid the strong winds.Bird lovers should visit the park between November and April when the Japanese cormorant, a protected species, nests on the island. There is an excellent view of the bird sanctuary along a hiking trail on the southern side of the island.
