"Minshuku Hara (inn)" is a Japanese style inn that evokes an old-style Japanese house and is located in a quiet fishing village. They provide fresh and seasonal seafood, such as a striped beak-perch, in a style of ikezukuri (seafood are arranged on a platter that look lifelike). This is the service unique to fishermen's house. Guests can experience making fishermen-style pot meal, tokoroten (jellied agar), and dried seafood. Okami (the proprietress of the inn) was selected as one of the "100 Best Mothers of Farmers, Fisheries, and Inns". It is a one minute walk to get to Mitohama coast.About 1 minute from Mitohama Beach, this is an inn where you can enjoy home-cooked meals made with homegrown vegetables and fresh seafood caught that day by the owner-fisherman. The inn is run by a well-known Okami (landlady) who was the only one in Kanagawa Prefecture to be ranked as one of the Best 100 Okami. Kanazawa Zoological Gardens

Herbivorous animals such as koalas, elephants, and giraffes are raised here, as well as rare animals such as rhinos and Arabian oryx. Our gray kangaroo walk-through exhibit allows visitors to walk through and observe them up close. At the "Familiar Life Museum," we preserve the natural environment in and around the lush garden, a place where children and adults alike can learn about animals, from insects to small mammals. The adjoining Kanazawa Nature Park has a 100m roller slide which is popular with children, and a BBQ area.The zoo will extend its opening hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in August, and will hold a special summer evening event where the zoo will open to the public at night, an experience otherwise unavailable to the public. The zoo will be decked out with projection mapping and bamboo lanterns, and visitors will be given a chance to experience a view of the animals at night, more active than in the daytime!

Yokohama Night Flowers is an event that transforms Yokohama’s night sky into an exciting celebration of color. This multi-month event features five-minute fireworks shows one to three times a month at Yokohama Port. The kaleidoscope of colors sparkle on the bay and shine above the cityscape, making for a mesmerizing night out—perfect for couples, friends, and families! As the name suggests, the fireworks bloom before you, like flowers in the sky.The time and launch point of the fireworks (Osanbashi or Shinko Pier) vary depending on the day. Uirou

The Uiro family has been making medicine and sweets for over 650 years, so they are both named "uiro" after the family. Uiro is a steamed rice flour confectionery that was invented during the Muromachi period (1336-1573) for entertaining foreign envoys and is characterized by its springy texture and subtle sweetness. It is loved by people of all ages and was selected as one of Kanagawa's top 100 specialties. Due to its wide range of medicinal effects, many anecdotes have been spread about the medicinal uiro, including the "Kabuki Uirouri.” The traditional eight-building structure is worth seeing. The museum is in an old storehouse and exhibits different craft items (admission is free and includes a guide). You can also enjoy handmade seasonal Japanese sweets in the sweets shop.

Experience Traditional Japanese Crafts at the Crafts Studio Village

The Crafts Studio Village is a facility in which you can experience the traditional crafts of garment weaving, indigo dyeing, paper making, pottery making, and wood bamboo crafting in Aikawa Town’s prefectural Aikawa Park. You can try out activities that you would usually not get the opportunity to try, such as garment weaving and using a potter's wheel in order to create your own original items. It is a fun way to learn about the history of traditional crafts.

Jewels of Shonan

Jewels of Shonan

This is a light-up illumination event held from the last weekend of November to the end of February of the new year at Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden and other locations on Enoshima Island. It is one of the three major illumination events in the Kanto region, and has been recognized as a heritage site of illuminated night scenery.All of Enoshima is the stage. The creative production places highly in many rankings of decorative lighting displays.

Shomyoji Temple

Shomyoji Temple

Thirty mins by car from the center of Kamakura City. Hojo Kanezawa’s family constructed in the Kamakura Period by Sanetoki Hojo. The Jodoshiki Teien Garden centred around the Ajiike Pond in front of the main building is a sight to behold. The garden, with its crimson arched and flat bridges, is beautiful.Visitors can enjoy seasonal scenery such as cherry blossom in spring, yellow irises at the beginning of summer and the changing colours of the leaves in autumn. In addition, there is the adjoining Kanagawa Prefectural Kanazawa-Bunko Museum which exhibits national treasures such as Shomyoji Temple sacred teachings and Kanazawa-Bunko documents.Noh theatre is performed at night by a fire each year at the beginning of May.
