Marinated miso pork brings out the sweetness and umami flavor of the meat, while also bringing the depth in flavor of miso. This particular shop prides themselves on making pork their centerpiece and they’re particular about their ingredients.

This was the private residence of silk trader Mr. Ellisman and was built in 1926 at 127 Yamate-cho and designed by A. Raymond, the "Father of Modern Japanese Architecture" who profoundly influenced Japan's architectural world. While possessing elements of a foreign-style mansion, it also shows the influence of Raymond's mentor, F. L. Wright, such as an emphasis on the horizontal lines of the eaves. It was relocated and restored to its current location in Motomachi Park in 1990. The first floor features a reception room with a fireplace, a combined living and dining room, and a sunroom overlooking the garden furnished with pieces designed by Raymond, while the second floor houses an exhibition on Western-style houses in Yamate. The basement is available for rental as a free-use space and includes a tea room utilizing the former kitchen area.One of eight restored Western Houses in the Yokohama, Yamate area, this is most beautiful in autumn and during the Christmas season. Take a break in its lovely little cafe.

Our restaurant proudly boasts six different types of lunch. This dam is situated in the northwestern part of the prefecture, near Higashitanzawa and is the largest gravitational concrete dam in the Greater Tokyo Area. There is a 6 minute long release of water from April through November, every Wednesday, the second and fourth Friday of the month, and every second Sunday of the month. It is done at 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock past noon.

Each year from around late September through until middle-October, cosmos flowers bloom in a space of 5 hectares at the Nabatame Cosmos Field in Mashiko Town. The cosmos here come in a variety of colors including orange, pink, purple, and white. And you can pick some flowers from the fields and take them home too.

Kashi-no-Mori Park is an oasis for both children and adults throughout the year and is easily accessible by car. A wide range of events are held in the park in early April when visitors come for the “Sakura Festival” in spring. The park is also popular for a fantastic night time viewing of illuminated cherry blossoms. The streets around Kashi-no-Mori Park are lined with cherry blossom trees (north-south 2.3km， east-west 1.3km). Be sure to walk through the stunning cherry blossom tunnelled street with approximately 650 Yoshino cherry trees!

The "U.S.-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Festival" is an annual event where the U.S. army base in Zama, Japan, opens to the public. Take a stroll inside the normally inaccessible U.S. military base and admire over 300 cherry blossom trees. Many American foods, such as hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs will be available at food stalls for you to enjoy the international flavors. There are also live bands and a DJ, as well as a kids zone, making it fun for everyone in the family!

This farm in Chigasaki City is home to 100 cross-bred and 40 pure-bred cattle. Reared on seaweed and minerals, their meat is delicious, lean and tender. One of the main draws here is that you can purchase the beef directly from the producers. Japanese-style "Chigasaki curry," prepared with Chigasaki beef, is also on sale.

It is said that the ume (plum) groves were first planted by the Hojo clan during the Warring States period to provide food for the troops (some theories exist). Among the three plum groves: Bessho, Hara and Nakagawara, around 35,000 plum trees are in full bloom during the correct season and are framed by Mt. Fuji and Hakone. Izumi-no-mori spreads around the Yamato Suigenchi, the source of the Hikichi River. The park is positioned as the natural core of Yamato City. The wooded area and waterside space form a distinctive ecosystem, making it an ideal place for observing nature.

Itsukushima Shissei Park, in Kanagawa Prefecture, was built to restore and preserve wetland (which is considered rare because of the freshwater produced there). Inside the park, there is a large pond surrounded by greenery. There is a wooden walkway that stretches over the pond, and visitors can freely walk on it whilst enjoying the surrounding plants. Fireflies can be spotted over the pond in summer, which makes the park a popular spot for firefly viewing.

It is a park that both children and adults can enjoy and learn about nature. You can see organisms of the four seasons and also experience agricultural activities such as rice planting and harvesting. At the park there is a "Forest Slide" that is 106 meters long, the longest in Japan.
