At Ninomiya (a shop inside the Ninomiya Town Tourism Association) we have local products and foods made from olives, peanuts, onions, and shiitake mushrooms, which are specialities of Ninomiya Town. We also offer small souvenirs for visitors and local people, and we have tourist posters and postcards, Azumayama badges, original products from the Tourism Association, and goods from the town's official characters Nino and Miya.
Lake Ashi, also known as Ashinoko, was created by a steam explosion of Mount Kamiyama about 3000 years ago. This caused a river to be dammed, which formed the lake. The majority of the lake’s water comes from a spring at the bottom of the lake. This ranch is located in Toyoharaotsu, Nasu Town. Their cow’s milk comes from jersey cows, rare in Japan, and the milk is pasteurized after being squeezed and processed in a way that keeps the fat globules from shrinking and preserves the natural non-homogenized taste. They sell milk, ice cream, “squeezable yogurt” in a tube, and other processed goods, and the cafe offers drinks and sweets made with the milk they produce and lunch sets that use locally grown vegetables and other options."
Nasu Kogen Minamigaoka Farm is situated in the highlands 700 metres above sea level at the foot of Mount Nasu. The farm has maintained its natural landscape since its foundation. The Ohata Musha-e (warrior paintings) Museum is housed in a private residence originally built 300 years ago. The exhibition includes Musha-e Nobori banners from the Edo period (1603-1867) as well as hand-painted Musha-e homeware such as porcelain pieces, vases, folding screens and wallpapers.
