A beautiful park with a fountain, stone pavements and flowerbeds, having a surface area of approximately 13,000 square meters. The name derives from the fact that the Italian consulate was located here during the Meiji period. One can view the verdant Yamate area from the lookout on the hill. Two western houses, the Diplomat’s House and the Bluff 18 Ban-Kan have been rebuilt here.

Sue-no-Sato is a workshop that produces the dishes, pavement, and lights for the Japanese cuisine restaurant Kokonotsuido. You can try your hand at handmade ceramics in their classroom surrounded by the beauty of nature. These lessons are available for groups of four. Given Kamakura’s beauty, tranquil atmosphere and relative size, getting around by bicycle is a recommended way to see the best of Japan’s ancient capital.At this bicycle rental shop, which has been in operation since 1974, choose between standard-, multi-speed- and electric-assist bicycles. Prices start at 600 yen (standard bike / 1 hour). For an additional 300 yen, you can also choose to drop off your bike at Enoshima Station (by 4pm) but advance registration is required. After exploring Kamakura’s leafy side streets and stopping off at some of its Buddhist temples, ride along the coast towards Enoshima, enjoying the views of the ocean and Mt. Fuji along the way.

The “Autumn Mashiko Pottery Fair” is held on early November every year. This fair started from 1966, there are about 50 shops and as many as 550 tents set up selling pottery. The Pottery Fairs provide a great chance to enjoy talking with young artists and local potters in the shops and tents. Every year about 600,000 people come to enjoy the fair.

“Domannaka” means “the center,” and the name Domannaka Tanuma comes from the fact that it is located roughly at the center of Japan. In the farmer’s market, fresh vegetables from local producers fill the shelf every morning. You can buy vegetables that are fresh, safe, and reliable. The rice shop offers carefully selected rice such as Koshihikari. There are also an authentic Chinese restaurant and a self-service Japanese and Western food restaurant. The self-service restaurant has a rich lineup of menu items including Sano Ramen noodles and deep-fried potatoes, which are both local foods of Sano City, and Yamizo soba made with water from the Yamizo Mountains in Tochigi Prefecture. Both restaurants are spacious and have over 100 seats so that you can relax and enjoy your meal. There are also shops offering a wide variety of sweets: a gelato stand offering products made with the blessings of nature, a pancake café featuring original pancakes, and a fruit sandwich stand. You can also buy custard pudding to take home with you. On the premises, there is a foot bath filled with onsen water that leaves your skin silky smooth and massage chairs that make you feel you are receiving a massage in zero gravity.

This Shingon Buddhist Sect Buzan School Temple in Mashiko City， Tochigi Prefecture is dedicated to the 11-headed Kanzeon Bodhisattva.  Saimyoji temple is the twentieth temple in the Bando (33 Kannon temples of kanto region) pilgrimage circuit. The gabled thatched two-story gate and three-story pagoda constructed in 1492 and the miniature shine in the main temple hall that is said to be created during the Muromachi period have all been designated Important Cultural Properties of Japan. A statue of a laughing Yama (king of Hell) next to the Bodhisattva Jizo who protects those who have fallen to hell is also found here at the temple. The laughing Yama (king of Hell) is said to be the incarnation of the jizo."

Originally flourished as a post station in the 17th century， Tochigi city later developed into a merchant city on the banks of the Uzuma River. The river was an important trade route to and from Edo (Tokyo). The black merchant houses and white-walled storehouses can still be seen along the Uzuma River and on Kura-no-Machi Oh-dori (the main street). Go for a stroll and feel the classical atmosphere!

Reservation Required:The predecessor of the Tanaka family is depicted in Utagawa Hiroshige's ukiyo-e. Tanakaya has been loved by many celebrities including Hirofumi Ito, Soseki Natsume, and statesman of the Meiji period, Soseki Natsume. Being introduced by Katsu Kaishu, Ryoma Sakamoto's wife, Oryo, worked here.

Featured in the Michelin Guide, Tokyo, Yokohama and Shonan 2012, it is the first restaurant awarded with three Michelin stars in the Kanagawa area. The owner previously worked in Shofukuro, a restaurant in Shiga Prefecture that produced a great number of chefs. He has worked diligently to create a space that goes beyond the framework of cooking to offer hospitality in every small detail.

It is said that the ume (plum) groves were first planted by the Hojo clan during the Warring States period to provide food for the troops (some theories exist). Among the three plum groves: Bessho, Hara and Nakagawara, around 35,000 plum trees are in full bloom during the correct season and are framed by Mt. Fuji and Hakone. Our petting zoo has many small birds such as parakeets and Java finches, large birds such as peacocks, and small animals such as squirrel monkeys and chipmunks. At the petting zoo, visitors can hold and touch cute guinea pigs and rabbits. Let's spend our time therapeuticly interacting with cute animals.

It is about 19 hectares where they restore forests fallen into disrepair to familiar woodlands. They cooperate with volunteer organizations in thinning and other activities to keep trees and soil in proper condition and conserve forest management and habitat of organisms and plants. You can appreciate seasonal flowers here.

This is a nature-rich managed fishing and barbecue area located in Tanzawa Oyama National Park. Visitors can enjoy mountain stream fishing in a natural setting and barbecue along the river while fishing. There is also a fishing pond for children and beginners, and trout catching can also be enjoyed in summer. Only 10 minutes from the Isehara-Oyama Interchange on the Second Tomei Expressway, it is easily accessible from the city center, making it an easy place to enjoy outdoor recreation.
