Kita-kamakura Takaranoniwa

Roughly a 10 minute walk from Kita-Kamakura Station, this 85-year-old traditional Japanese house is surrounded by a spacious garden and lush greenery and offers reservation-based workshops, such as pottery experiences, cooking classes, dyeing workshops, and yoga. Pottery experiences are held daily. Experience fees are as follows: Leaf plate making: 3,400 yen, bowl making: 5,000 yen and up (shipping seperate). Private rentals are available depending on group size. Lunch boxes or meals can be provided alongside workshops. The attached gallery is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as holidays, from 11AM to 4PM (no reservation required). You can also enjoy drinks in the garden on sunny days. Enoshima Aquarium

Enoshima Aquarium

This aquarium boasts a fantastic location with Sagami Bay stretching out in front of the aquairum, Japan's highest mountain, Mt. Fuji, to the right, and the scenic Enoshima Island to the left. It centers around the theme of "Sagami Bay and the Pacific Ocean", featuring many of the local creatures. This is an "edutainment-style aquarium" where you can learn about the ocean and its surrounding environment while having fun. There are plenty of attractions to see, including the Sagami Bay Zone, the Jellyfish Fantasy Hall, and the Sea Turtle Beach. The dolphin show, performed against the backdrop of Sagami Bay, is one of the most popular shows. You can even observe Asian short-clawed otters up close!

The Italian restaurant with a famous chef is also popular.A striking modern building in an attractive seaside location, this museum showcases a diverse range of Japanese and international art. After exploring the galleries, you can enjoy Italian food at the restaurant while admiring the stunning view across Tokyo Bay.

Ichijo Ekan Sanso

Ichijo Ekan Sanso

Ichijo Ekan Sanso Villa, a nationall designated Important Cultural Property villa with sukiya-style architecture, is surrounded by its beautiful garden, a space where hydrangeas, autumn foliage, red pines, and moss thrive. With the murmuring of the Nameri River flowing nearby and the chirping of wild birds, it is a lush Japanese garden where you can enjoy Japan's four seasons with all five senses. There is also a cafe within the garden where you can enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets. Tours of the villa are held regularly (advance reservations required so please check the website).
