Zama Sunflower Field

The Zama sunflower was established as the city flower of Zama City in 1969, and was selected as one of the "100 best places for flowers in Kanagawa" in 1994. A total of 550,000 flowers bloom over a total area of 5.5ha, and a sunflower festival is held every year.Add an artsy touch to your photos during the Kurihara festival by posing with props supplied by the festival. Model with picture frames and hats to immortalize the fun moment.

Yokohama Strawberry Park

We reopened as Yokohama Strawberry Park on April 23rd, 2022, with a new reservation system and only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. We allow you to enjoy fresh, delicious strawberries regardless of the season. The strawberries at our facility are carefully grown by people with disabilities under the guidance of strawberry cultivation experts. You can enjoy our strawberry juice and parfait, which both use strawberries harvested at our facility, at our cafe, which can be used without a reservation.

Nature Observation Facility Kuzuha House

The Kuzuha Green Space, which consists of the Kuzuha River, which runs almost in the centre of the Hadano Basin, and a canyon surrounded by abundant greenery, was designated as" Kanagawa's National Trust No. 1 Green Space" in 1987. "Kuzuha no Ie", which is a base for nature observation, was opened in 1998, and visitors can get close to nature and also holds nature observation meetings, seasonal gatherings and nature observation instructor training courses, and various other activities to encourage nature protection. In addition, we are engaged in work to pass on the conservation of the space to future generations through appropriate management such as nature surveys, tree pruning, and mowing.

Sano Natural Hot Springs well up from 800m underground. The water contains sodium chloride, which is effective for heat retention and skin moisturization. Since its alkaline water removes sebum and unwanted substances resulting in beautiful skin, this hot spring is known as the “Spring of Beauty” or “Beautiful Women Spring”. One dip in this hot spring will leave you feeling refreshed and your skin smooth. With a bedrock bath, rock salt sauna, and more, it is no wonder that the facilities are loved by those of all ages and genders.

Raitei

Raitei is a restaurant that serves Japanese buckwheat noodles and kaiseki cuisine, where you can enjoy homemade buckwheat noodles and delicious dishes featuring precise techniques and fresh ingredients in a superb location with a view of the Shonan Sea and Mount Fuji. The restaurant building and the mountain gate was built in the Edo period and are 250 to 300 years old. They are designated as national tangible cultural properties. There is also a beautiful Japanese garden with bamboo and plum trees, cherry blossoms, a stone Buddha, and a tea ceremony room. On weekends and holidays, visitors can enjoy a sweet shop and beer garden.

Daihonzan Sojiji Temple (Mitama Festival Bon Odori)

The Sojiji Temple is the head temple of the Soto school (of Zen Buddhism). Every summer, the Mitama Matsuri Bon Odori Festival is held. It is now established as a local summer tradition, and many participants enjoy dancing the Bon dance to the cheers of the energetic monks. Please come and join our Bon Odori Festival!Held over three consecutive days from July 18 to 20, this huge summer festival is a Tsurumi summer tradition. Featuring a Bon Odori dance with the temple priests, a fireworks display with 200 fireworks launched over the three days and many stalls lining the approach to the temple, this lively festival attracts crowds of people of all ages and genders.

Jochi-ji

Jochi-ji

Wife and son, Morotoki, of Shogun Hojo Munemasa built this temple in 1281. In this temple there is a 'Kanro no I (well)' , one of the 10 Kamakura Wells. This temple ground is designated as a historic spot of Japan.The Donge-Den houses the Three Statues of Buddha. The leftmost statue represents the past, the center the present, and the right the future (as seen from the main entrance).Built in 1924, the thatched-roof Shoin offers a beautiful view of the gardens throughout the seasons.
