Built here in the early 700 A.D., Daijoin is a temple where you can practise waterfall meditation. Waterfall meditation is a way to liberate and regenerate oneself, and gain a sense of unity with the natural world. The monks at Daijoin practise waterfall meditation, and offer guidance to visitors who wish to try it themselves.

"Furusato Miya Festival," the biggest summer festival of Utsunomiya City, holds on the first weekend on August every year. It began on 1976 to celebrate 80th anniversary of Utsunomiya City, and became a symbol of the city.   Under the theme of " Meet and Connect," a variety of events will color the summer in Utsunomiya, including dances, Japanese drums, Ohayashi performances, Miyakko parade by children, and Mikoshi (portable shrine) performances, all centering on the main street of Utsunomiya.

Revered as Sochinju (central place to pray for local gods), Matsubara Shrine had been worshipped by successive castellans of Odawara Castle which includes lords of Odawara Hojo Clan in the Sengoku period.

This prefectural nature park consists of three low mountains, and hiking can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. The view from the observatory extends from Sagami Bay to Mt. Fuji, and has been selected by the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as one of the "100 Best Views of Fujimi in Kanto". In spring, the park is famous for its cherry blossoms, with over 1,400 cherry trees in bloom, and in 1994 it was selected as one of the "100 Best Places for Flowers in Kanagawa".

While the Enoden railway boasts a mere 10km track length, it runs through a richly varied and captivating landscape. It threads its way through residential neighborhoods, skimming past rooftops, traversing iron bridges and tunnels, and weaving along the coastline and through mountain valleys. On clear days, passengers can glimpse Enoshima Island and Mount Fuji from the train windows, evoking a sense of adventure. Popular tourist spots dot along the train line, including Enoshima, Shichirigahama Beach, and the ancient city of Kamakura, allowing you to savor scenery where history, nature, and townscapes harmonize. This is a 330-meter long reverse arch bridge connecting the Toriihara area and the lakeside area over the Miyagase Dam. It has been selected as one of the 100 best bridges in Kanagawa, and the view from Toriihara Park is spectacular!

Mitsuishi, also known as Kasashima, is a symbol of the Manazuru Peninsula and is famous for the first sunrise of the year. It is a mysterious place that connects to the peninsula only at low tide.

The Miura-Kaigan Noryo Festival Fireworks Display is a summer tradition held every year on the Miura Peninsula in early August. The venue, Miura Beach, is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Miurakaigan Station on the Keihin Kyuko Line. Visitors can sit on the vast sandy beach and look up at the fireworks in a relaxing and open setting. The underwater fireworks, nicknamed "underwater peacocks," are launched from a barge and are a spectacular sight sure to wow. The colorful lights brightly illuminate the surface of the sea.

It’s known that these falls were the birthplace of Kintaro (a folk hero). It has a height of 23 meters and a width of 5 meters. It is said that the name, “yuhi” or “evening sun”, comes from the beauty of how the sunset would catch the falls. It prospers from the beautiful in the new leaves of spring and autumn colors as well as from the cool water during summer camping getaways.

The Prefectural Sagamihara Park is made up of a spacious lawn plaza, a French garden surrounded by redwood trees, a Japanese iris garden, a greenhouse, a grove of various trees and so on. Enjoy a relaxing and cooling time here at this grand park.

Previously located in the south of Hadano City, Minami Hadano Village, is home to many historic temples and shrines, as well as many spring water spots. Please feel free to visit the nine temples and shrines, some of which include the Seven Gods of Good Fortune plus cranes and turtles, to gather good fortune and enjoy a relaxing time. A special red seal map is available at each spot and at the Hadano Station Tourist Information Center, and visitors who collect all the red seal stamps on the map will receive a prize for completing the tour.

It is said that the 400 black pines by the levee up to the estuary were planted by Ninomiya Sontoku, an agricultural leader of the Edo era, with money he received as rewards from his nursemaid.

Kanagawa Prefecture Sagamihara City's Asamizodai area has been popular for poultry farming since long ago and there are currently seven houses. The poultry farmers formed the Asamizo Livestock Industry Association. We call the road where poultry houses and markets are located as "Tamago Kaido" and are working on revitalizing local commerce. At the market we are working on our sixth industry, confectionaries and cafes.

At the center of the park, there is a park center that serves as both a management office as well as an exhibition facility Remnants of the castle during the Warring States Period can be found throughout the park. This Tourist Boat Terminal serves as the departure and arrival point for cruises such as the "Red Brick Café Cruise" and the "Night Factory Jungle Cruise". It is approximately a 15-minute walk from Bashamichi Station or Nihon-Odori Station.
