Dive into Waterfalls and Pools – Experience the Wonders of Nature In the Kinugawa Onsen area, one of the most popular outdoor activities is canyoning, offered by the NAOC team. Equipped with professional gear, participants slide down natural waterslides, jump into pools, and climb through streams, immersing themselves in the untouched beauty of the Kinugawa Gorge. From splashing waterfalls to thrilling plunge pools, exciting challenges await at every turn, making it one of the most sought-after summer adventures. The activity lasts about three hours and includes free transportation, full equipment, and friendly guidance, making it suitable for families and beginners. Held annually from June to October, it’s an unforgettable way to challenge yourself and connect with nature during the summer season.

On January 4 each year, the Musha Festival, an annual Shinto ritual in which arrows are shot toward Mount Akagi, is held at Futarasan Shrine's Chugu Shrine on the shore of Lake Chuzenji. It is based on a legend of Gods warfare, and is a tradition that has continued since the Muromachi period.   In the legend of the Gods battle, the deity of Mount Nantai in Nikko changed himself into a "giant snake," and the deity of Mount Akagi in Gunma changed into a "giant centipede" and fought over at Senjogahara. It is said that the deity of Mount Nantai won the warfare.   In accordance with the legend, the Guji (head of priests) stands on the Kamishimbashi and releases the first arrow, with a shout of "Ya" as a cold wind blows, followed by the priests and archers dressed in kariginu, who shoot arrows one after another in the direction of Mount Akagi in this heroic ritual.

Named after Nikko’s former Gyoushintei Monastery, this restaurant is the gateway to Nikko city's over 1,200 years historical specialization in Buddhist cuisine. Its uniquely-flavored traditional Gozen-ryori is prepared in the Shinjo Shinryu style, which only uses vegetables, grains, and soybean-based products like yuba and tofu, making it completely vegetarian. And since they always use what’s in season, the ingredients change from month to month, providing a rare opportunity to enjoy seasonal, traditional vegetarian cuisine.

A botanical garden in Sano City， Tochigi that boasts some of the best dogtooth violet scenery during March and April. Alongside the violets you can enjoy flowers year-round including Anemone nikoensis and Disporum smilacinum in spring， golden-rayed lilies in summer， and Salvia Nipponica in the fall. There's also a hiking trail to Mikamoyama Park."

Known as the city of steam locomotives， the railway museum “Mooka Raiway SL Kyuroku (96) Kan” is located here in Mooka. The collection includes Japan’s only self-driving 9600 steam locomotive with a compressed air engine， along with a D51 steam locomotive and the old-style passenger train “Suhafu 4425”. The self-driving 9600 steam locomotive runs three times a day (at 10am， 12pm and 2:30pm) on Saturdays， Sundays and public holidays and visitors can ride in the guard’s van (300 yen per person).

“Hana to Utsuwa no Harmony” is an early summer event that started in 2001. The event takes place at 7 Yamate Seiyoukans in Yokohama. The theme of 2017 was “Motenashino Hana Monogatari (hospitalities and stories of flowers) -- 7 Chapters --”. Seven coordinators arranged the flowers and tablewares of each Seiyoukans differently. (Theme is different each year)This event is not only about the decorations but paid workshops, such as flower arrangements. This 9-day event usually starts on the first Saturday of June and ends on the second Sunday of June.

Near by the Nasukarasuyama City, Ryumon Falls is a large-scale waterfall that it is about 20-meter-high and 65-meter-wide. Halfway down the fall are two vertical holes called Ogama ("Male Cauldron") and Megama ("Female Cauldron"). Ogama has a diameter of 4 meters and Megama 2 meters. Due to the angle of the photo, you can see JR Karasuyama Line’s train through pass the Ryumon Falls. The cherry blossoms in the spring, the maple leaves in the fall, and the snow in the winter, along with the passing trams, make for a miraculously beautiful photo! Right next to the Ryumon Furusato Mingeikan is a path where you can walk to get a close-up view of the Ryumon falls.

One of the Imaichi area’s most popular events is its annual fireworks display， Over 5000 Shot Fireworks， which various types of fireworks decorate the night sky over the Daiya River.

Chigasaki Southern C is the symbol of Southern Beach Chigasaki and has even fronted the Southern All Stars CD cover. This place is famous as a matchmaking (En-musubi) spot as when one stands at the right of the C, filling the gap in “C”, a circle (“En” in Japanese) will be formed, essentially tying fates (also “En” in Japanese) together. It is also famous for being a photo spot in Chigasaki where you can snap a shot with the Eboshi Rock in the middle of the C.

Pete-Dye Golf Club is a masterpiece 18-hole course designed on the land of Nikko by the genius Pete Dye. It is named after the golf course architect Pete Dye. The course is flat but long and tough, and is one of the best championship courses in Tochigi Prefecture. The course will make you play seriously and let you find your true skill level. The course also features an authentic and classy clubhouse.

Since its establishment in 1986, Yoshimura Nouen has been devoting itself to producing strawberries that make everyone fall in love, enjoy, and smile. It is also producing a unique blend of soil, which is indispensable for growing tasty strawberries.
